Baldev Singh Aulakh (born 10 June 1964) is an Indian politician from the state of Uttar Pradesh. He currently represents the Bilaspur constituency in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly as a Leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Political career Aulakh participated in youth politics while studying in Kumaun University. In 1998, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party after meeting Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi. Bilaspur Assembly constituency is one of the 403 constituencies of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, India. It is a part of the Rampur district and one of the five assembly constituencies in the Rampur Lok Sabha constituency. Sanjay Kapoor ( hi, संजय कपूर; born 15 July 1962) is an Indian Congress politician and a member of the 16th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh of India. The election to the 17th Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly was held from 11 February to 8 March 2017 in 7 phases. This election saw a voter turnout of 61.11% compared to 59.40% in the previous election. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the election by an overwhelming three-quarters majority of 325 seats despite not projecting a chief ministerial candidate before the election.
