Baldersby railway station was a railway station serving the village of Baldersby in North Yorkshire, England. It was located on a line from Melmerby, north of Ripon, to Thirsk on the East Coast Main Line. Baldersby
Baldersby is a village and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, England, about west of Thirsk and north-east of Ripon on the A61. The parish includes the village of Baldersby St James, south east of the village of Baldersby, but not Baldersby Park, which is in the parish of Rainton with Newby. According to the 2001 census the parish had a population of 253, increasing to 285 at the 2011 census. Baldersby has a farm shop, an Anglican Mission Room, and a cricket ground with a pavilion and children's play area. The nearest primary school is Baldersby St. James C of E Primary School in nearby Baldersby St James. The Roman road Dere Street forms the western boundary of the parish, now followed by the A1(M) motorway. Baldersby Gate Interchange, Junction 50 of the A1(M), connects the A61 to the A1(M) in the south of the parish. Thirsk Railway Station
Thirsk railway station is on the East Coast Main Line and serves the town of Thirsk, North Yorkshire, England. It is down the line from and is situated between to the south and to the north. Its three-letter station code is THI. The station is about outside of Thirsk town centre and is actually on the edge of the village of Carlton Miniott. There are four tracks, but only the outer two have platforms; the platform faces serving the innermost pair of tracks were removed in the 1970s in preparation for higher-speed main line running using InterCity 125 trains. British Transport Commission
The British Transport Commission (BTC) was created by Clement Attlee's post-war Labour government as a part of its nationalisation programme, to oversee railways, canals and road freight transport in Great Britain (Northern Ireland had the separate Ulster Transport Authority). East Coast Main Line

Ripon Railway Station
Ripon railway station was a railway station that served Ripon, North Yorkshire, England on the Leeds-Northallerton Line that ran between Harrogate and Northallerton. History Opened by the Leeds and Thirsk Railway on 1 June 1848. The foundation stone for the station buildings was laid on 18 September 1854 by Mrs. A. B. Patience, wife of the station master. On 11 August 1866 Prince Edward and Princess Alexandra arrived at the station for a short visit to Studley Royal. They returned the day afterwards to catch the Royal Train to Barnard Castle.
