Balatonlelle
Balatonlelle is a resort town located in Hungary on the southern shore of Lake Balaton, about 35 km west of Siófok. It is known for its numerous tourist attractions, some of those being a 3 km long beach, an aqua park, a go-cart course, and an annual wine festival. It is reachable from Budapest by train (approximately 2.5 hours). It is a family-oriented tourist resort during the summer season. Some other attractions also include a public grass beach and bars located around the town. The wine festival is often held in the first week of August. The settlement is part of the Balatonboglár wine region. Between 1979 and 1991 Balatonlelle formed a single settlement together with Balatonboglár under the name Boglárlelle. Balatonboglár
Balatonboglár is a resort town situated on the south shore of Lake Balaton in Somogy County, Hungary. It is the official centre of the Balatonboglár wine region, and is often called the "town of grapes and wine." Between 1979 and 1991 Balatonboglár formed a single settlement together with Balatonlelle under the name Boglárlelle. History The region has been populated for more than six thousand years. The area was first documented in 1211. The first bathing association was established in 1904, and Balatonboglár was declared a medicinal bath in 1912. Balatonboglár and Balatonlelle were unified as Boglárlelle from 1979 until October 1, 1991. The Xantus look-out tower, the symbol of the city, resides on top of a hill and is well lit at night. M7 Motorway (Hungary)
The M7 motorway ( hu, M7-es autópálya) is a Hungarian motorway which runs from Budapest towards the Croatian border at Letenye, reaching Székesfehérvár, then Siófok, a town on Lake Balaton, and the city of Nagykanizsa in the southwest of the country. The motorway connects with the Croatian motorway A4 at Goričan and forms part of the Pan-European corridor Vb, connecting Budapest with Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, and Rijeka, the largest Croatian seaport. Since the completion of the M7 it is possible to travel on motorway from Budapest to the Adriatic Sea, a popular tourist destination for Hungarians. The last portion of the motorway to the Croatian border, including the Zrinski Bridge on the river Mura, was completed on 22 October 2008. The road's first sections were built in the 1960s and 1970s. Lake Balaton
Lake Balaton () is a freshwater lake in the Transdanubian region of Hungary. It is the largest lake in Central Europe, and one of the region's foremost tourist destinations. The Zala River provides the largest inflow of water to the lake, and the canalised Sió is the only outflow. The mountainous region of the northern shore is known both for its historic character and as a major wine region, while the flat southern shore is known for its resort towns. Boglárlelle
Boglárlelle was a resort town in Somogy County, Hungary, on the south shore of Lake Balaton. It was created on December 31, 1978, by merging the villages of Balatonboglár and Balatonlelle. On January 1, 1984, it was elevated to "village with town status" (a special status for villages that did not meet the requirement for town status but were appointed to be centers of their districts). On January 1, 1986, it was finally granted town status, and merged with the nearby village Szőlőskislak Szőlőskislak (also ''Szőllőskislak, Szőlős-Kislak'') was a village in Somogy County, Hungary, but is now part of Balatonboglár. Balatonboglár Wine Region
The Balatonboglár wine region, also known as the South Balaton wine region, is the only one wine region in Somogy County, Hungary. The area consists of 37 settlements, mainly located on the southern shore of Lake Balaton, but also some near Kaposvár like Böhönye, Csurgó and Nagyberki. It is part of the greater Balaton wine region. Approximately two-thirds of the 3200 hectare vineyards of the wine region are white grapes and the remaining are Concord grapes. Champagne production plays an important role in the area as well. The ''Winemaker of the Year'' award has been given three times to winemakers of the region since its founding: to ''Vencel Garamvári'' in 2006, to ''János Konyári'' in 2008 and to ''Ottó Légli'' in 2010. Siófok
Siófok (; german: Fock; la, Fuk) is a town in Somogy County, Hungary on the southern bank of Lake Balaton. It is the second largest municipality in Somogy County and the seat of Siófok District. It covers an area of about 124.66 km2 (48.13 square miles) between Lake Balaton, the ''Mezőföld'' and the ''Outer Somogy-Hills''. Lying at the firth of the Sió Channel, it serves as the most important logistic station for goods between Lake Balaton and the River Danube. Fonyód ( hu, Fonyódi járás) is a district in northern part of Somogy County. ''Fonyód'' is also the name of the town where the district seat is found. József Attila Móring
József Attila Móring (born 8 October 1968) is a Hungarian educator and politician, member of the National Assembly (MP) for Balatonboglár (Somogy County Constituency IV) from 2006 to 2014, and for Marcali (Somogy County Constituency III) since 2014. He was also Member of Parliament from his party, the Fidesz's Somogy County Regional List between 2002 and 2004. Political career He served as mayor of Somogyvár from 1998 to 2014. He joined Fidesz in December 1992. He led the Somogyvár branch of his party until 2002. He became a Member of Parliament in December 2002, replacing Károly Szita, who resigned from his parliamentary seat.
