Dansa
A ''dansa'' (), also spelt ''dança'', was an Old Occitan form of lyric poetry developed in the late thirteenth century among the troubadours. It is related to the English term "dance" and was often accompanied by dancing. A closely related form, the ''balada'' or ''balaresc'', had a more complex structure, and is related to the ballade but unrelated to the ballad. Both terms derive from Occitan words for "to dance": ''dansar'' and ''balar/ballar''. A ''dansa'' begins with a ''respos'' of one or two lines, whose rhyme scheme matches that of the first line or two of each subsequent stanza. The actual ''respos'' may have been repeated between stanzas, of which there were usually three, as a refrain. The few surviving melodies of ''dansas'' seem like incipient virelais. The verses of the ''dansa'' were sung by a soloist while the refrain was sung by a choir. A ''dansa'' lacking a vuelta is called a ''danseta''. In a ''balada'' each stanza is divided into three parts. The first part ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

Sant Jaume D'Enveja
Sant Jaume d'Enveja is a municipality in the ''comarca'' of the Montsià in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated in the southern half of the Ebro Delta, on the right bank of the river. The municipality was created in 1978: previously the territory formed part of the municipality of Tortosa. It is linked to Amposta by a local road, and to Deltebre on the opposite bank by a service of barges. The town was established relatively recently in the 1860s. This is due in part to the formation of the delta over the last few centuries from the river's sedimentary deposits. The town's economy is centred on agriculture, principally rice cultivation, along with a strong tourist industry. The tourism sector has seen an expansion in recent years based on the attractive countryside offered by the River Ebre Delta national park and its biodiversity. There is a lighthouse on the island of Buda. Sant Jaume d'Enveja became part of the Montsià in the comarcal revision of 1990: previously it formed pa ... Latin Ballad
Latin ballad ( es, balada romántica) is a sentimental ballad derived from bolero that originated in the early 1960s in Los Angeles, California and Southern California. Some of the best known artists of the Latin ballad are Julio Iglesias, Mocedades, José Luis Rodriguez, Luis Miguel, Camilo Sesto, Emmanuel, Nino Bravo, Roberto Carlos, Ricardo Montaner, Raphael and José José among others. Because of its difficulty, the Latin balladeers are often recognized as skilled singers such as the case of Nino Bravo, Camilo Sesto, José José, Luis Miguel or Raphael. In recent decades it has become the dominant musical genre of Latin pop. Origin and evolution Music fans can find roots of "Ballads" in pre-war years.
