''The Truce at Bakura'' is a 1993 '' Star Wars'' spin-off novel by Kathy Tyers. It takes place immediately after the events depicted in the film ''Return of the Jedi'' (1983) and before those of the young-reader series ''Jedi Prince'' (1992–1993). The book was later adapted as an audiobook, which is read by Anthony Heald. Galoob released models of ships and characters from the novel as part of its Micro Machines line. Plot summary While recovering from their victory against the Empire at Endor, the Rebel Alliance intercepts an Imperial probe containing a distress call for the Emperor. The message details a lizardlike race of aliens invading the Outer Rim planet Bakura. Ryo Bakura
The ''Yu-Gi-Oh!'' series features an extensive cast of characters created by Kazuki Takahashi. The series takes place in a fictional city in Japan called Domino City, in which most of the characters that appear in the series originate. Many plot elements are also influenced by Egypt and Egyptian mythology, and as such, Egyptian characters also appear within the story. Bakura is a Local Government Area in Zamfara State, Nigeria. Its headquarters are in the town of Bakura at in the north-east of the Local government area. It has an area of 1,366 km and a population of 186,905 at the 2006 census. The postal code of the area is 892. Toponym The term ''Bakura'' originates from a Hausa saying: "an yi rabon kura; ka tafi Bakura, kura ta cinyaka da rana" (" ou saida hyena did the dividing; ellyou went to Bakura ndthe hyena took a bite of you in broad daylight").
