Bakhtyar Khudojnazarov
Bakhtyar Khudojnazarov (Russian/ tg, Бахтиёр Худойназаров, fa, بختیار خداینظرف) (May 29, 1965 – April 21, 2015) was a film director, producer and screenwriter from Tajikistan. His most internationally famous film is the comedy '' Luna Papa'' (1999). He won a Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival for his film '' Kosh ba kosh'' (1993). In 2000 he was a member of the jury at the 22nd Moscow International Film Festival. Khudojnazarov lived in Berlin, Germany, from 1993 and died from a short illness aged 49. Hetaira (plural hetairai (), also hetaera (plural hetaerae ), ( grc, ἑταίρα, "companion", pl. , la, hetaera, pl. ) was a type of prostitute in ancient Greece, who served as an artist, entertainer and conversationalist in addition to providing sexual service. ''Waiting for the Sea'' (russian: В ожидании моря; ) is a 2012 film by Bakhtyar Khudojnazarov with collaboration from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Germany, France, and Belgium. The film is set in the backdrop of the dried-up Aral Sea and addresses the impact of the ecological catastrophe on the fate of the people in that region. It is the last part of the Central Asia trilogy that Khudojnazarov had planned, which started with his 1999 film ''Luna Papa''. The second part of the trilogy, a tragicomedy named "Living Fish" (') after a screenplay by Oleg Antonov, had been projected since the year 2000, but was never completed as a result of the financial crisis in 2008 and the deaths of producer Karl Baumgartner in 2014 and Khudojnazarov in 2015. The film script is written by Oleg Antonov and is a free adaption of Ray Bradbury's 1958 short story ''The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit''. Plot summary Three youngster living in a small coastal town at the Black Sea spend their time roving about. Some day they discover a black pinstriped Gucci suit in the window of a fashion shop in the big city, where they have to go by ferry. They plan to obtain this specific suit in order to appear as successful and confident adults once they wear it. After a couple of efforts, they manage to acquire the suit and agree to take turns wearing it. Shtyr puts the suit on to upgrade his image.
