Bhakkar ( ur, ), is the principal city of Bhakkar District located in Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the left bank of the Indus River. It is the 86th largest city in Pakistan. Administration Bhakkar city is also the administrative centre of Bhakkar Tehsil one of the four tehsils of the district. Bhakkar Tehsil is subdivided into 17 union councils, three of which form the city of Bhakkar. History Bhakkar was founded probably towards the close of the fifteenth century by a group of colonists from Dera Ismail Khan. During the 15th century, Bhakkar saw a struggle for power between Hassan Malik and Naveed Asghar. Bhakkar District
Bhakkar District ( ur, ), is a district in the province of Punjab, Pakistan. The district was created out of parts of Mianwali in 1982, and has the city of Bhakkar as its headquarters. Part of its area consists of a riverine tract along the Indus, called Kaccha, while most of the district area lies in the desolate plain of the Thal Desert. The main languages spoken in the district include Saraiki (79.97%) which according to some lingustics is considered a dialect of Punjabi, Punjabi (10.18%), Urdu (7.14%), and Pashto (2.33%). It is located in the west of the Punjab province, Bhakkar district is bordered by Layyah to its south, Jhang to its south east, Dera Ismail Khan to its west, Khushab to its north east, and Mianwali to its north. Bakhar Bar is a village and union council near Shahpur Sadar, in Sargodha District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. Ilan Bakhar ( he, אילן בכר; born May 17, 1975 in Ramat Gan) is a retired Israeli footballer who played as a right defender. Football career During his 14-year professional career, Bakhar played for seven different clubs in his country. Barak Bakhar ( he, ברק בכר; born 21 September 1979) is an Israeli association football manager and former footballer. He is the head coach of Israeli Premier League champions Maccabi Haifa. Early and personal life Bakhar was born in moshav Tzrufa, Israel, to a Turkish-born father of both Sephardi Jewish and Mizrahi Jewish descent, and to an Israeli-born mother of Ashkenazi Jewish (Polish-Jewish) descent. His uncle was the Israeli Minister of Tourism Rehavam "Gandhi" Ze'evi, who was assassinated by Palestinian terrorists in 2001. He is married, has three children, and resides in Holon, Israel.
