Bakery Music
Bakery Music is a Thai record label founded in 1994. It pioneered the independent music industry in the 1990s, being the most successful of its time, and inspiring the creation of many other indie labels. The company is now a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment Thailand. History Bakery Music was founded as an independent music label in 1994 by Somkiat Ariyachaipanich (aka. Zomkiat, Mr. Z), Kamol Sukosol Clapp (aka. Sukie), Boyd Kosiyabong and Salinee Panyarachun. The four had collaborated on Zomkiat's ''Z-Myx'' album in early 1994, and by mid-year founded Bakery Music as a record label. The first release by the company by alternative rock band Moderndog featuring an album of the same name became an instant hit, "storming the charts" and selling 500,000 copies. For the next few years, Bakery released multiple successful acts, which include Boyd himself, Joey Boy, Yokee Playboy, Thee Chaiyadej and Pause (band), Pause among others. Bertelsmann Music Group
Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG) was a division of a German media company Bertelsmann before its completion of sale of the majority of its assets to Sony Corporation of America on 1 October 2008. Although it was established in 1987, the music company was formed as RCA/Ariola International in 1985 as a joint venture to combine the music label activities of RCA's RCA Records division and Bertelsmann's Ariola Records and its associated labels which include Arista Records. It consisted of the BMG Music Publishing company, the world's third largest music publisher and the world's largest independent music publisher, and (since August 2004) the 50% share of the joint venture with Sony Music, which established the German American Sony BMG from 2004 to 2008. 1997 Asian Financial Crisis
The Asian financial crisis was a period of financial crisis that gripped much of East Asia and Southeast Asia beginning in July 1997 and raised fears of a worldwide economic meltdown due to financial contagion. However, the recovery in 1998–1999 was rapid and worries of a meltdown subsided. The crisis started in Thailand (known in Thailand as the ''Tom Yam Kung crisis''; th, วิกฤตต้มยำกุ้ง) on 2 July, with the financial collapse of the Thai baht after the Thai government was forced to float the baht due to lack of foreign currency to support its currency peg to the U.S. dollar. Pause (band)
Pause is a Thai rock band that worked with Bakery Music. Pause was composed of a small group of students who are interested in music from the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts Program in Music in Srinakharinwirot University. Pause had a chance to play in Rock Music Radio and has been interested in Bakery music. ‘Tee – Wang’ is the most popular song that made this band very well known. After Jo Amarin (lead singer) died, Pause disbanded. After that, the other members (Nor, A and Boss) separated and pursued their own music careers. Nor (Norathep Masaeng), the bassist, is now the bassist of the Cressendo Band. A (Polkrit Viriyanuphap), the guitarist, is now the guitarist of the Casino14 Band. Thee Chaiyadej

Joey Boy ( th, โจอี้ บอย; born 1975) or Apisit Opasaimlikit ( th, อภิสิทธิ์ โอภาสเอี่ยมลิขิต, ), is a Thai hip hop singer and producer known as The Godfather of Thai Hip Hop. Moderndog
Modern Dog ( th, โมเดิร์นด็อก) is a Thai rock band, formed in 1992. They issued their first album in 1994, selling 500,000 copies. The band has issued five studio albums, selling a total of 2 million copies. The band's 2004 album, ''That Song'', was produced by Tony Doogan ( Belle & Sebastian, Mogwai), with the title track arranged by bassist Yuka Honda of Cibo Matto. The album also featured guest appearances by Yumiko Ohno of Buffalo Daughter and Sean Lennon. It featured three singles that went to No 1 in Thailand.
