Bakersfield Junior College
Bakersfield College (BC) is a public community college in Bakersfield, California. BC serves about 22,000 students each semester or 31,000 annually, and offers Associate degrees, certificate programs, and is one of fifteen California Community Colleges offering a Baccalaureate Degree. It is part of the Kern Community College District (KCCD), which is itself part of the California Community Colleges system. History Founded in 1913 as Bakersfield Junior College, the school was initially housed on the campus of Bakersfield High School (then Kern County Union High School). In 1947, the school dropped "Junior" from its name. Asian Americans are Americans of Asian ancestry (including naturalized Americans who are immigrants from specific regions in Asia and descendants of such immigrants). Brandon Banks
Brandon Desean Banks (born December 21, 1987) is an American Canadian football wide receiver and return specialist who is currently a free agent. He was most recently a member of the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was signed by the Washington Redskins of the National Football League (NFL) as an undrafted free agent in 2010. He played college football at Bakersfield College and Kansas State. Rishard Andre Matthews (born October 12, 1989) is a former American football wide receiver. He played college football for the University of Nevada, and was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the seventh round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He also played for the Tennessee Titans and New York Jets. Memorial Stadium (Bakersfield)
Memorial Stadium is a double-decked concrete and steel stadium in northeast Bakersfield, California, Bakersfield, California, near the scenic Panorama Bluffs which overlook the prolific Kern River Oil Field, Kern River Oilfields. In July 2019 an artificial playing surface was installed replacing the worn out and troublesome Bermuda grass field which was susceptible to fungus growth. An all-weather track was also installed In 2020 a new scoreboard and sound system were installed along with new L.E.D. lights placed upon the original light standards.
