Baix Llobregat () is a comarca (county) on the coast of Catalonia, Spain. Its capital is Sant Feliu de Llobregat. Municipalities Proposed changes It has long been proposed to split the northern part of Baix Llobregat into a separate comarca. The Catalan government's "Report on the revision of Catalonia's territorial organisation model" (the ), published in 2000, recommends many changes to comarcas, including the creation of , with its capital at Martorell, taking in several more municipalities from Alt Penedès, Anoia, Bages, and Vallès Occidental. Recent campaigns have referred to the proposed new comarca as "Montserratí", due to the landmark Montserrat mountain marking part of its eastern border. This is a list of the 42 ''comarques'' (singular ''comarca'', , ) into which Catalonia is divided. A '' comarca'' is a group of municipalities, roughly equivalent to a county in the US or a district or council in the UK. However, in the context of Catalonia, the term "county" can be a bit misleading, because in medieval Catalonia, aside from the kings of Aragon, the most important rulers were counts, notably the Counts of Barcelona and of Urgell. Comarques have no particular relation to the " counties" that were ruled by counts. Sant Just Desvern (; ) is a town near Barcelona, in the ''comarca'' of the Baix Llobregat, Catalonia, Spain. Sant Just Desvern is located in the 2,078317º of longitude and 41,381611º of latitude. It is situated at 122 m (average) above sea level. The maximum height is located at 405 meters above sea level, almost in the top of Turó de Merlès (416.7 m), and the lowest spot of this town is about 40 meters, located at the park of Torreblanca. The surface of the town is about 7.8 km2. The town has 35 km of streets. It has good connections to arrive to N-340, the highway A-2 and Rondes de Dalt and Litoral. Sant Joan Despí (; ) is a city and municipality located in the Baix Llobregat area ( Barcelona province in Catalonia, Spain). It is situated on the left bank of the Llobregat river.
