Greg L. Bahnsen (September 17, 1948 – December 11, 1995) was an American Reformed philosopher, apologist, and debater. He was a minister in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church and a full-time Scholar in Residence for the Southern California Center for Christian Studies (SCCCS). He is also considered a contributor to the field of Christian apologetics, as he popularized the presuppositional method of Cornelius Van Til. He is the father of David L. Julius Friedrich August Bahnsen (30 March 1830 – 7 December 1881) was a German philosopher. Bahnsen is usually considered the originator of characterology and a real-dialectical method of philosophical reflection which he laid down in his two-volume ''Contributions to Characterology'' (1867) and developed forth with his following works, amongst others his magnum opus ''The Contradiction in the Knowledge and Being of the World'' (1880/82). Biography Born in Tondern (Tønder), Schleswig, in 1830 Bahnsen began his study of philosophy and (under Gregor Wilhelm Nitzsch) philology in Kiel. Karen Mayson Bahnsen (born October 11, 1960) is a former college golf coach and player from the United States. Early years Bahnsen was born in Mobile, Alabama. She attended McGill-Toolen Catholic High School in Mobile. Kenneth Antone Bahnsen (born February 19, 1930) is a former American football fullback who played for the San Francisco 49ers. He played college football at the University of North Texas from 1950-52. There he set net school career rushing and scoring records while in the Eagles' backfield. After his pro career ended he became a longtime North Texas assistant football coach. He also coached the Eagles' tennis team to consecutive Missouri Valley Conference championships in 1966 and 1967.
