Baharlu (ethnic Group)
The Baharlu (; fa, بهارلو), also spelled Bahārlou, Baharloo, Baharlooe, are a Turkic ethnic group living in Hamadan, Fars, Kerman, Azerbaijan and Khorasan in Iran. Fārs embraces the balk of Baharlu tribe members and is identified as the provenance of the tribe (also in print in Vol. III, Fasc. 5, pp. 482-484) The Baharlu was one of the Qizilbash tribes. Many Baharlus live in the district of Darab, home to the army of Darius the great. There are also a number of Baharlus which in the 14th century settled down in areas around Shahr-e Kord in Chahar Mahal and Bakhtiari, they got heavily mixed with the Bakhtiaris and Qashqais. The Turkic peoples are a collection of diverse ethnic groups of West, Central, East, and North Asia as well as parts of Europe, who speak Turkic languages.. Bakhtiari People
The Bakhtiari (also spelled Bakhtiyari; fa, بختیاری) are a Lur tribe from Iran. They speak the Bakhtiari dialect of the Luri language. Bakhtiaris primarily inhabit Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari and eastern Khuzestan, Lorestan, Bushehr, and Isfahan provinces. Bakhtiari tribes have an especially large population concentration in the cities of Masjed Soleyman, Izeh, Shahr-e Kord, and Andika, and the surrounding villages. A small percentage of Bakhtiari are still nomadic pastoralists, migrating between summer quarters (''sardsīr'' or ''yaylāq'') and winter quarters (''garmsīr'' or ''qishlāq''). Nomadic Groups In Iran
A nomad is a member of a community without fixed habitation who regularly moves to and from the same areas. Such groups include hunter-gatherers, pastoral nomads (owning livestock), tinkers and trader nomads. In the twentieth century, the population of nomadic pastoral tribes slowly decreased, reaching an estimated 30–40 million nomads in the world . Nomadic hunting and gathering—following seasonally available wild plants and game—is by far the oldest human subsistence method. Pastoralists raise herds of domesticated livestock, driving or accompanying them in patterns that normally avoid depleting pastures beyond their ability to recover. Nomadism is also a lifestyle adapted to infertile regions such as steppe, tundra, or ice and sand, where mobility is the most efficient strategy for exploiting scarce resources. Shahrekord
Shahr-e Kord ( fa, شهركرد, also Romanized as Shahrekord and Shahr Kord) is the capital city of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, Iran. It is the largest city in the province, and is 90 km away from Iran's third largest city, Isfahan. At the time of the 2006 census, Shahrekord had a population of about 148,464 and the Shahrekord metropolitan area had a population of 380,312. The city is populated by Persians, Lurs and Turkic people. Etymology Shahr-e Kord, at face value, seems to mean "City of the Kurds". In antiquity, the place had been called "Dezh Gord" (دژگرد), where ''dezh'' (دژ) means "fortress" and ''gord'' (گرد) means "hero". After the Muslim conquest of Persia, the name changed to "Deh Kord" ( fa, دهكرد); ''dezh'' was reinterpreted as ''deh'' (ده) meaning "village" and ''gord'' became ''kord'' because the Arabic alphabet lacks the letters "g" (گ), and "zh" (ژ). Qashqai People
Qashqai people (pronounced ; fa, قشقایی) are a tribal confederation in Iran mostly of Turkic origin. They are also believed to have incorporated Lurs, Kurds, and Arabs. Almost all of them speak a Western Turkic (Oghuz) language known as the Qashqai language, which they call "Turki", as well as Persian (the national language of Iran) in formal use. The Qashqai mainly live in the provinces of Fars, Khuzestan, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Bushehr and Southern Isfahan, especially around the cities of Shiraz and Firuzabad in Fars.
