Gladsaxe Municipality
Gladsaxe Kommune is a municipality (Danish, ''Commune (subnational entity), kommune'') near Copenhagen in Region Hovedstaden on the island of Zealand (Denmark), Zealand (''Sjælland'') in eastern Denmark. The municipality covers an area of , and has a total population of 69,681 (2019). Its mayor is Trine Græse, a member of the Social Democrats (Denmark), Social Democrats (''Socialdemokraterne'') Politics of Denmark, political party. The site of its municipal council is the town of Buddinge. Nikolas Terkelsen Nartey (born 22 February 2000) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart. Club career Youth career Nartey began his career at the age of 8 at AB. He then joined F.C. Copenhagen at the age of 12. At 16 years old, he had already played for the U19 squad of F.C. Copenhagen. Thomas Guldborg Christensen (born 20 January 1984) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a defender. Career Until the age of 20, Guldborg Christensen played for the local team Akademisk Boldklub, where he in 2001 made his senior debut in the Danish Superliga. During this tenure he won several caps for the Danish younger national teams. Three years later, in 2004, he signed a contract with Viborg FF. Hanne Boel (born 31 August 1957 in Bagsværd, Copenhagen) is a Danish singer. Boel covers in her songs a range of styles including pop, soul, gospel, rock, and jazz. Over the course of her career, she has sold over 2.5 million records, and has had great success on the Scandinavian charts, although her work is less well known throughout the rest of the world. Life Boel graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Music in 1980, and then spent a year at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. In the five years following her return to Denmark, she divided her time between singing with the Danish funk band Blast, performing as a choir soloist, and teaching music at a variety of schools and clinics. Hugo Rasmussen (22 March 1941 – 30 August 2015) was a Danish bassist. Rasmussen is best known for his album ''Sweets to the Sweet'' (1978). ''Sweets To the Sweet'' was re-released in 2001 on Danish label Music Mecca. Biography He worked with, among others, Teddy Wilson, Ralph Sutton Horace Parlan, Ben Webster, Dexter Gordon, Oliver Nelson, Tom Waits, Al Grey, Wild Bill Davison, Harry Sweets Edison, Doug Raney, Ole Kock Hansen, Svend Asmussen, and Jesper Thilo. Karen Lydia Aabye (19 September 1904 – 15 September 1982) was a Danish writer. In the late 1930s, she worked as a journalist in Paris and London before she gained popularity with a number of historical novels in which strong-willed women were her main characters. Her works also include travel books and a collection of essays. Biography The daughter of Rudolph Christian Aabye, a wholesale merchant from Norrebro, Aabye grew up in Copenhagen, attending Karen Kjær's School.
