Baghini
''Baghini'' is a 1968 Bengali drama film directed by Bijay Bose and produced by Girindra Singha. The movie is based on a same name novel of Samaresh Basu. Soumitra Chatterjee stars as the main hero, Chiranjib, and Sandhya Roy plays the film's heroine, Dugga. Jahar Roy plays Dugga's father, a liquor merchant; Rabi Ghosh plays Bhola, the villain. In the end, Bhola is killed by Dugga. She marries Chiranjib before going to jail. Ruma Guha Thakurta (21 November 1934 – 3 June 2019) was an Indian actress and singer primarily associated with Bengali language films. She founded Calcutta Youth Choir in 1958. Early life Ruma Guha Thakurta was born on 3 November 1934 to Satyen Ghosh (Monty Ghosh) and singer Sati Devi. Her family was culturally inclined to Brahmo Samaj, a societal component of Brahmoism. Basabi Nandi (5 December 1935 – 22 July 2018) was an Indian actress and singer active in the Bengali cinema. She received Best Supporting Actress Award by Bengal Film Journalists' Association for the movie Bon Palashir Padabali in 1974. Career Nandi was born in 1935 in British India. Her father B.L.
