The Jawoyn, also written Djauan, are an Australian Aboriginal people living in the Northern Territory of Australia. The Bagala clan are of the Jawoyn people. Language Jawoyn, known as Kumertuo, is a non- Pama–Nyungan language that belongs to the Macro-Gunwinyguan group of languages of Arnhem land. (It has recently been established that the Gunwinyguan and Pama-Nyungan languages are both branches of a proto- Macro-Pama–Nyungan language.) Baghlah
A baghlah, bagala, bugala or baggala ( ar, بغلة) is a large deep-sea dhow, a traditional Arabic sailing vessel. The name "baghla" means "mule" in the Arabic language. Description The baghlah dhows had a curved prow with a stem-head, an ornately carved stern and quarter galleries. Their average length was with an average weight of 275 tons. Usually they had two masts using two to three lateen sails; supplementary sails like a jib were often added on the bowsprit, as well as on a topmast atop the main mast. As a large and heavy ship the baghlah required a crew of at least 30 sailors. Some had even up to 40. The ''ghanjah'' or ''kotiya'' is a similar type of vessel, often difficult to distinguish from the baghlah. Bagal (pronounced as Bāgāl) is a cattle herding caste of East India. Bagal people are living in the state of West Bengal, Jharkhand and Odisha. They use Kudmali / Manbhumi dialect of Bengali as mother tongue (with local variation, labelled as ''Bagal Bhasa'') and use Bengali, Hindi and Odia language to communicate with the society.
