Malawati Stadium
Malawati Stadium ( ms, Stadium Malawati) is an indoor stadium located in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia.The stadium is located beside the Shah Alam Stadium. The stadium has a maximum seated capacity of 13,000 and is capable of housing different events including sports events, warehouse sales, concerts, exhibitions and talks in its fully air conditioned 50 × 50 meters square arena. History On 12 May 1998, the stadium was officially opened by Sultan Salahuddin of Selangor. On 1 January 2001, the Shah Alam City Council began taking charge of the maintenance of the stadium. Chan Chong Ming
Chan Chong Ming (born 16 February 1980) is a former Malaysian badminton player and a current head coach of Malaysian national women's doubles squad. Career Chan competed in badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics with his then partner, Chew Choon Eng. In the first round, they defeated Theodoros Velkos and George Patis of Greece, but were then defeated in the round of 16 by Zheng Bo and Sang Yang of the China. After his unsuccessful outing in the Olympic Games, Chan's regular doubles partner was changed to Koo Kien Keat. Together, they claimed 2005 Denmark Open title. Chan Chong Ming and Koo Kien Keat won the Malaysia Open in 2006 which was held in Kuching, Sarawak and became the new hope for Malaysia in men's doubles. However, at the XV World Championships in 2006, they conceded a walkover due to Chan's father's death. Andreas Nova Widianto (born 10 October 1977) is an Indonesian former badminton player. He is currently the Indonesia national team mixed doubles head coach. Career Nova Widianto is considered one of the greatest doubles player in his era. He is known for his superb movement on court and versatility to be paired with various players. Widianto specialized in mixed doubles. He enjoyed some international success with Vita Marissa, winning the Badminton at the Southeast Asian Games, Southeast Asian Games in 2001, the Asian Badminton Championships in 2003, and the Japan Open (badminton), Japan Open in 2004. Kunchala Voravichitchaikul ( th, กุลชลา วรวิจิตรชัยกุล; born 14 November 1984) is an internationally elite badminton player from Thailand. She competed at the 2006, 2010 and 2014 Asian Games. Kunchala Voravichitchaikul is a doubles specialist who is paired with Duanganong Aroonkesorn in women's doubles and Songphon Anugritayawon in mixed doubles. She is a veteran of one World Championship, the 2010 Paris Worlds where she failed to make the quarter-finals in both events. (She also entered the 2009 Hyderabad Worlds with Anugritayawon, but withdrew before competition began.) Wong Pei Tty (, born 11 November 1981) is a former doubles badminton player from Malaysia. Currently, she works as an assistant coach for Malaysia women's double national team. Career Wong competed in badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics in women's doubles with partner Chin Eei Hui. They defeated Seiko Yamada and Shizuka Yamamoto of Japan in the first round but were defeated by Gao Ling and Huang Sui of China in the round of 16. Lim Pek Siah (born 8 October 1979) is a Malaysian former badminton player, who now works as a national badminton coach. Lim had won the women's doubles silver medal at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur partnered with Chor Hooi Yee, also helped the team reach the final and clinch the silver medal. Vita Marissa (born 4 January 1981) is an Indonesian retired badminton player. Career Marissa competed in badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics in mixed doubles with partner Nova Widianto. They had a bye in the first round and defeated Robert Blair and Natalie Munt of Great Britain in the second. In the quarterfinals, Marissa and Widianto lost to Jens Eriksen and Mette Schjoldager of Denmark 15–12, 15–8. In September 2008 Marissa and her new partner Muhammad Rijal won in mixed doubles at the Japan Super Series after beating Nova Widianto/Liliyana Natsir 14–21, 21–15, 21–19 in the all Indonesian final.
