Bad Ideas (album)
''Bad Ideas'' is the second studio album by American singer-songwriter Tessa Violet, released on October 25, 2019, by T∆G Music. The album was originally set to be released August 3, 2018, but was delayed indefinitely until the official announcement on October 4, 2019, with the tracklist announced three days later. ''Bad Ideas'' was preceded by the singles "Crush", "Bad Ideas", "I Like (the idea of) You", "Games", and "Words Ain't Enough"; additional single "Bored" followed in 2020. The album was produced by Seth Earnest, who has collaborated with Violet since 2013. Production Tessa Violet admitted she went through a breakup during the writing of the album. Violet said that the album "is a reflection of that snapshot of my life and reconciling ‘why do I keep doing things that make my life worse when I know they make my life worse?'" Tessa Violet Williams, previously known as Meekakitty, is a singer-songwriter, video blogger, actress, music video director, and former model. Originally a vlogger, over the years Tessa Violet's online content became devoted to her musical career with Violet having released two studio albums, '' Maybe Trapped Mostly Troubled'' in 2014 and '' Bad Ideas'' in 2019. Early life and career Violet grew up in Ashland, Oregon and performed in theatre productions while in high school. She began her YouTube channel in July 2006 and started daily vlogging in 2007 for a school project under the username Meekakitty when working in Hong Kong and Thailand as a fashion model. Lo-fi (also typeset as lofi or low-fi; short for low fidelity) is a music or production quality in which elements usually regarded as imperfections in the context of a recording or performance are present, sometimes as a deliberate choice. Wes James, better known by his stage name Le Youth, is an American electronic musician, DJ, and producer. He is known for combining R&B with 90's house music and he had a monthly radio show called Le Youth's Friday Night House Party on Capital Xtra. James was raised in Ohio and currently resides in Los Angeles, California. Music career 2013-present: Breakthrough Le Youth gained attention on the internet when his track "Cool" featuring a sample from Cassie Ventura's Me & U rapidly received over 200,000 plays on SoundCloud in a short period of time.
