The Bad Days EP
''Tin Planet'' is the second studio album by English band Space (indie rock band), Space, released on 9 March 1998. Recorded in late 1997 following a tumultuous year for the group, ''Tin Planet'' was a continuation of the eclectic blend of musical styles explored on their debut album ''Spiders (album), Spiders''. However, it was noted that the more abrasive aspects of their sound were toned down considerably from their debut, with the songs being more melodic with a prominent cabaret and easy listening influence. Keyboardist Franny Griffiths' love of techno and electronic music was also brought to the fore, culminating in three tracks that were primarily dance-orientated. The album was the first Space record to feature long-time collaborator David "Yorkie" Palmer as full-time bassist, and the last to feature founding member Andy Parle on drums (though he was not credited in the album's liner notes), with Leon Caffrey (formerly of the band Proper) taking his place shortly afterwa ...

Bad Day (Daniel Powter Song)
"Bad Day" is a pop song by Canadian singer-songwriter Daniel Powter from his self-titled second studio album (2005). It was written by Powter and produced by Jeff Dawson and Mitchell Froom. The song was first used in a French Coca-Cola television advertisement in Christmas 2004 before its official release. Tom Whalley, Warner Bros. Records' chairman and CEO, offered Powter a contract after hearing a demo tape of it. This track ended up being released as the aforementioned album's lead single in Europe in early 2005. The song was received with a generally mixed reception from critics. While some praised its lyrics for their "universal appeal", others felt they were too broad. Despite this, it was a commercial success. In 2005, the single charted in the top five in more than ten countries worldwide and became the most played song on European radio. Carmel (band)
Carmel are an English jazz/soul group active since the early 1980s. The band consisted of Carmel McCourt, Jim Paris and Gerry Darby. History Carmel was formed in Manchester when two students, Carmel McCourt and Jim Paris got together with drummer Gerry Darby (Paris's cousin). Their debut single, "Storm" reached No. 13 in the UK Independent Chart and they were then signed to London Records. Their second album, ''The Drum Is Everything'' (produced by Mike Thorne) drew some praise. Paris and Darby conjured the effect of a full ensemble backing to McCourt's vocals, and alternated between soulful ballads, gospel, blues and jazz. The resulting singles, "Bad Day" and "More, More, More", both went top 25 on the UK Singles Chart. The following album, ''The Falling'' (produced by Brian Eno, Hugh Jones and David Motion) had considerable success in France, achieving gold disc status, and also charted in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands. Bed (album)
''Bed'' is the third solo album by American singer-songwriter Juliana Hatfield, released in 1998 by Zoë Records. Recording ''Bed'' was written in a few weeks, and recorded and mixed from March 9 to March 15, 1998 at Sound Station Seven in Providence, Rhode Island. Hatfield chose to record the album with a stripped-down sound and did not favor any digital processing effects. According to her, "I had just been listening to things that were very raw and dry, the kind of things where you can really hear all the instruments very close to your ear when you have headphones on. I guess I was feeling raw, and I didn't want to pretty it up or put anything on top of it." Reception Writing for ''CMJ New Music Monthly'', reviewer Brett Milano praised the album, stating that its songs have more depth than Hatfield's earlier MTV hits. Although he admitted that some tracks sounded a bit rushed, he felt that the album has enough gems to keep it interesting. Track listing Personnel ;Musicia ...

Ambient (album)
''Ambient'' is the second studio album by American electronica musician Moby, released in August 1993 by record label Instinct. Composition The album is composed of electronic ambient pieces, similar to Aphex Twin's '' Selected Ambient Works'' releases. Like the Aphex Twin releases, the work is mainly instrumental (although there are samples of the sound of a choir vocalizing on "Tongues", and a woman saying 'bad days' in the background of "Bad Days"). Many of the tracks are beat-driven, except "J Breas" and "Piano and String", which both use pianos and synthesizers. "Bad Days" uses a 'sweeping' synth effect, and "Sound" is a high pitched loop playing and fading out and in. "80" uses synths mimicking an acoustic guitar. The album has an experimental, moody style. Many of the tracks (including "Bad Days" and "Lean on Me") are dark and unearthly. There are also some more uplifting numbers, like "Heaven", "Tongues" and "Dog", which are more beat driven, dancable numbers. The tra ...
