Anders Bäckström
Anders Bäckström (born December 12, 1960) is a former Swedish professional ice hockey defenceman who played for Brynäs IF of the Swedish Elitserien. He was drafted by the New York Rangers in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft, but never made it to the NHL, playing 311 games in the SEL, scoring 28 goals and 66 assists for 94 total points. He also served as the team manager for Brynäs IF from 1999 to 2002 and was an assistant coach for the team in the 2004–05 season. Daffin Theodore "Swede" Backstrom (July 17, 1916 – July 15, 1993) was an American football, basketball and baseball player and coach. Playing career Drew University Backstrom played college baseball and basketball at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, where he is a member of the schools Athletic Hall of Fame. Minor league baseball Backstrom played in minor league baseball as a pitcher. In 1940 he was with the Akron Yankees in the Middle Atlantic League. Fia Backström (born 1970) is a Swedish artist, writer and educator known for her multidisciplinary artworks. Backström lives and works in New York City. Joakim Bäckström (born 16 March 1978) is a Swedish professional golfer. Bäckström was born in Umeå. He turned professional in 1999. Having failed to win a place on the European Tour in 2000, Bäckström spent his early career in Sweden on the Telia Tour, where he won the 2001 Gula Sidorna Grand Open and the 2002 Sunbyholm Open. He also picked up five wins in Denmark during 2003 and 2004. Nicklas Bäckström (; born 23 November 1987) is a Swedish professional ice hockey centre and alternate captain for the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League (NHL). Bäckström was selected fourth overall by the Capitals at the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
