Back To Life (Sandra Album)
''Back to Life'' is the ninth studio album by German singer Sandra, released in 2009 by Virgin Records. Background The album was recorded in New York and largely produced by Jens Gad. Most of the songs were co-written by his younger brother, Toby Gad. As opposed to the preceding album, '' The Art of Love'', which was created during a difficult time in Sandra's life, material on ''Back to Life'' has more upbeat and optimistic feel. ''Back to Life'' spawned two singles, " In a Heartbeat" and a duet with Thomas Anders, " The Night Is Still Young", which were moderately successful in Germany. The album itself was a top 40 chart success on the German albums chart. Sandra Ann Lauer (born 18 May 1962), commonly known under her stage name Sandra and Sandra Cretu (), is a Franco-German pop singer who enjoyed mainstream popularity in the 1980s and early 1990s with a string of European hit singles, produced by her then-husband and musical partner, Michael Cretu, most notably " (I'll Never Be) Maria Magdalena" (1985), " In the Heat of the Night" (1985), " Everlasting Love" (1987), "Secret Land" (1988), "Hiroshima" (1990) and "Don't Be Aggressive" (1992). Madeline Stone is an American songwriter. Stone, who is Jewish, lives on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and specializes in Inspirational music.
