Back In The Streets
''Back in the Streets'' is a 1979 EP by the American heavy metal band Dokken, recorded in 1979 during the band's tour of Germany. According to band founder/singer Don Dokken, ''Back in the Streets'' was a demo tape that was stolen from him. It is an illegal bootleg for which the band sees no royalties or financial remuneration. Since it is a bootleg release, Don Dokken has reportedly stated that it is acceptable to duplicate this material. Dokken's rationale is that releasing the material to the public domain will severely curb the ability of the bootleggers to profit financially. The record was released in 1989 on the German Repertoire label. Of the members of Dokken associated with the major label releases from 1983 onward, only Don plays on this album. The band photo includes drummer Gary Holland (later of Great White) at far left, and guitarist Greg Leon second from the left, both former members of the band Suite 19. Bass Guitar
The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. It is a plucked string instrument similar in appearance and construction to an electric or an acoustic guitar, but with a longer neck and scale length, and typically four to six strings or courses. Since the mid-1950s, the bass guitar has largely replaced the double bass in popular music. Juan Croucier
Juan Croucier (born August 22, 1959) is a Cuban-born American musician. He is best known as the bassist for the hard rock/glam metal band Ratt. Career Croucier attended Torrance High School in Torrance, California, and played in various bands. He began playing original songs in his bands, and joined a band called Spike by age 16 that was strictly playing originals. In 1977 he started a new band called FireFoxx along with Ron Abrams on guitar and Bobby Blotzer on drums. Croucier served as bassist for Ratt during the 1980s, and was also very briefly in Quiet Riot and DuBrow. Croucier played with Quiet Riot shortly before Randy Rhoads left to play with Ozzy Osbourne and played with DuBrow in 1981 but did not record with either. The guitar is a fretted musical instrument that typically has six strings. Jeffrey Steven Pilson (born January 19, 1959) is an American musician best known for being the bass player in the glam metal band Dokken and currently classic rock band Foreigner. He has also had an extended stint with Dio in the 1990s. He is a multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar, cello, keyboards, piano and mellotron. Michael J. Brown (born September 8, 1956), a.k.a. "Wild" Mick Brown, is an American drummer who has played in the rock bands Dokken, Ted Nugent, Lynch Mob, and Xciter. Early life Brown was born in San Mateo County, California, on September 8, 1956, and began playing drums at age eight when on his birthday he took his first drum lesson from Mickey Hart (who three years later joined The Grateful Dead). Career Dokken Brown joined Dokken in 1981. He replaced Gary Holland, who left Dokken to join Dante Fox and later Great White. Before that, Brown played drums in The Boyz (1975–1977) and then in Xciter (1977–1981). Both bands also featured future Dokken bandmate George Lynch. He is considered to be one of the most famous and influential 1980s metal guitarists and is known for his unique playing style and sound.
