Bacho Akhalaia
Bachana "Bacho" Akhalaia ( ka, ბაჩანა "ბაჩო" ახალაია; born October 24, 1980, in Zugdidi) is a Georgian politician who was Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia from July 4, 2012, to September 20, 2012. He had previously served as Head of Penitentiary Department of Ministry of Justice of Georgia (2005–2008) and Minister of Defense (August 27, 2009 – July 4, 2012). On September 20, 2012, amid protests against torture and rapes in Georgian prisons, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced Akhalaia had resigned from office. Early career Akhalaia graduated from the Tbilisi State University with a degree in law in 2003. From 2003 to 2004, he worked for the NGO Liberty Institute, known for his role in protests that led to the Rose Revolution in Georgia in November 2003. Bacho Kiro
Bacho Kiro ( bg, Бачо Киро) (7 July 1835 – 28 May 1876) was the nickname of Kiro Petrov Zanev (Киро Петров Занев), a Bulgarian teacher, man of letters and revolutionary who took an active part in the April Uprising. Bacho Kiro was born in what is today Byala Cherkva, Veliko Tarnovo Province (then called Gorni Turcheta), to the family of the herdsman Petar Zanev. After finishing the religious school in his village, he joined the Batoshevo Monastery as a neophyte. From 1852 on, he worked as a teacher in various villages, including Koevtsi, Musina, Mihaltsi, Vishovgrad and his native Byala Cherkva, where he lived and taught from 1857 to 1876 with some interruptions. Bacho Kiro also travelled around the Bulgarian lands by foot, calling for armed resistance against the Ottoman rule, and visited Istanbul, Mount Athos, Belgrade and Bucharest. Peter Bacho
Peter Bacho is a writer and teacher best known for his book ''Cebu'' which won the American Book Award. His book is defined as Filipino American literature because of its explorations in themes such as neocolonialism and Filipino-American identity. Early life and education Bacho was raised in Seattle. His father was a field worker. He graduated in 1974. Career Bacho also won the Washington Governor's Writers Award for ''Dark Blue Suit'' a collection of stories. Many of Bacho's books deal with the Filipino experience in the United States. He considers himself an "old Filipino writer". Bacho teaches in the Liberal Studies Program at The Evergreen State College, Tacoma Campus. He is also a lecturer in the Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences program at the University of Washington Tacoma. Bacho Kiro Cave
The Bacho Kiro cave () is situated west of the town Dryanovo, Bulgaria, only away from the Dryanovo Monastery. It is embedded in the canyons of the Andaka and Dryanovo River. It was opened in 1890 and the first recreational visitors entered the cave in 1938, two years before it was renamed in honor of Bulgarian National Revival leader, teacher and revolutionary Bacho Kiro. The cave is a four-storey labyrinth of galleries and corridors with a total length of , of which are maintained for public access and equipped with electrical lights since 1964. An underground river has over time carved out the many galleries that contain countless stalactone, stalactite, and stalagmite speleothem formations of great beauty. Galleries and caverns of a long section have been musingly named as a popular description of this fairy-tale underground world. Bacho Kiro High School
Bacho Kiro High School is a secondary comprehensive school in the town of Pavlikeni in Bulgaria. The school provides education to many students in the whole municipality of Pavlikeni. History In 1919 and 1920, an initiative led by Pencho Penev and Stoyan Stoyanov Uzunov took the first steps before the Regional school inspectorate in the city of Veliko Tarnovo to found a new modern school in Pavlikeni. The new school opened its doors in October, 1920 with two classes, which had a total of 63 students. The first principal was Mrs. Jordanka Nesheva. From November, 1920 Mr. Kr. Ivanov became principal. Over the next few years the school grew in size and popularity and the number of students increased.
