John Bachman
John Bachman (February 4, 1790 – February 24, 1874) was an American Lutheran minister, social activist and naturalist who collaborated with John James Audubon to produce ''Viviparous Quadrupeds of North America'' and whose writings, particularly ''Unity of the Human Race'', were influential in the development of the theory of evolution. He was married to the painter Maria Martin. Several species of animals are named in his honor. Life Bachman served the same Charleston, South Carolina church as pastor for 56 years but still found time to conduct natural history studies that caught the attention of noted bird artist John James Audubon and eminent scientists in England, Europe, and beyond. Tim Bachman
Timothy Gregg Bachman (born August 1, 1951) is a Canadian guitarist and vocalist best known for his work with rock bands Brave Belt and Bachman–Turner Overdrive (BTO). Bachman was one of the four founding members of BTO, a group that have sold nearly 30 million albums worldwide and also featured his brothers Randy (guitar/vocals) and Robbie (drums), as well as Fred Turner (bass/vocals). Career Tim Bachman had played guitar in a few Winnipeg area bands, some with his younger brother Robbie on drums. He then briefly quit music, feeling that the Winnipeg scene had become stagnant, and he got a job and began attending college. Talmage Charles Robert Bachman (born August 13, 1970) is a Canadian singer-songwriter and guitarist. He is best known for his 1999 hit, " She's So High", a pop rock tune from his self-titled 1999 album that led to a BMI award. Samuel Duane Bachman (born September 30, 1999) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played college baseball for the Miami RedHawks, and was selected by the Angels in the first round of the 2021 MLB draft. He made his MLB debut in 2023. Robin Peter Kendall Bachman (born February 18, 1953) is a Canadian drummer and the youngest brother of guitarist, singer and songwriter Randy Bachman. He was the original drummer for both the Brave Belt and Bachman–Turner Overdrive bands. He is sometimes credited as "Robin" or "Rob" on the liner notes of Brave Belt and BTO albums. Biography While growing up, Bachman practiced the drums at home, often playing along with his older brother Randy. When Robbie was age 18, Randy offered him the Brave Belt drumming job, and Robbie accepted. Other members of Brave Belt were Chad Allan (musician), Chad Allan and Fred Turner (musician), Fred Turner.
