''Baby God'' is an 2020 American documentary film, directed and produced by Hannah Olson, which follows Quincy Fortier, a doctor who used his own sperm to inseminate fertility patients. Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady were executive producers under their Loki Films banner. It had its world premiere at the Nantucket Film Festival on June 23, 2020, and was released on December 2, 2020, by HBO. Synopsis Quincy Fortier, in a fertility fraud scheme begun in the 1960s, for more than 30 years secretly used his own sperm to inseminate his fertility patients, without their knowledge or consent. Hannah Olson is an American documentary film director and producer. She is best known for her work on the HBO documentaries, ''Baby God'', ''The Last Cruise'', and ''Love Has Won: The Cult of Mother God''. Life and career Olson was born in Minnetonka, Minnesota. She graduated from Hopkins High School and Brown University. In 2020, she made her directing debut with the documentary film, ''Baby God'', about the investigation of Dr. Quincy Fortier. It premiered at South by Southwest and the Nantucket Film Festival. Cecil Byran Jacobson (October 2, 1936 – March 5, 2021) was an American former fertility doctor who used his own sperm to impregnate his patients without informing them. Donald Lee Cline (born December 10, 1938) is a former American medical doctor of obstetrics and gynaecology and a felon. Between 1974 and 1987, Cline sired over 90 children without disclosing himself as the sperm donor to his patients. As of May 11, 2022, Cline has been confirmed as the biological father of 94 doctor-conceived offspring.
