Ljubo Babić
Ljubomir Tito Stjepan Babić (14 June 1890 – 14 May 1974) was a Croatian artist, museum curator and literary critic. As an artist, he worked in a variety of media including oils, tempera, watercolour, drawing, etching, and lithography. He was one of the most influential figures in the Zagreb art scene between the two world wars. He collaborated with director Branko Gavella in creating a series of set designs for the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb. In 1940 he became a full professor at the Academy of Fine Arts Zagreb. He held exhibitions at home and abroad and published many articles on art history and critiques of contemporary art events. He wrote and illustrated many books, worked on designs for posters, interiors and decorative arts objects. Alen Babić (born 17 November 1990) is a Croatian professional boxer. He has challenged once for the WBC bridgerweight title in 2023. As an amateur, he competed at the 2017 European Championships in the heavyweight event. Amateur career Babić took part in the 2014 Croatian National Championship, facing Marino Bajamic in the quarterfinals. He beat Bajamic by RSC, Josip Bepo Filipi by split decision in the semifinals, and Petar Milas by RSC in the finals. Draginja Babić (3 October 1886 – 24 January/6 February 1915) was a Serbian medical doctor who worked at Valjevo Hospital during the Balkan Wars and World War I. Franjo Babić
Franjo Bartola Babić (19 December 1908 – 15 May 1945) was a Croatian writer and journalist. Background Babić was born in Babina Greda. He finished elementary school in Zemun in 1919, and six grades of gymnasium in Vukovar and Vinkovci by 1926. Since 1929 he worked at the newspaper ''Hrvatski list'' in Osijek, and served as its editor-in-chief from 1941 to 1944. He attended the trial of the bandit Čaruga, about whom he later wrote a book. From 1934 to 1943, Babić was active as a theater critic in Osijek. From 1932 on, he also wrote articles about chess. He moved to Zagreb in 1944. Dušan Babić (born 26 December 1986) is a Bosnian middle-distance runner. He initially specialized in the 800 meters before making a gradual transition to the 1500 meters from 2014. During the course of his career, he represented Bosnia and Herzegovina as an 800-meter runner at two Summer Universiades in 2009 and 2011. He also appeared at the 2013 Mediterranean Games.
