Babachir David Lawal
Babachir David Lawal (born 2 October 1954) is a Nigerian politician who was Secretary to the Government of the Federation from 2015 to 2017. He was appointed on 27 August 2015, by President Muhammadu Buhari. Lawal was suspended as Secretary to Government of Federation (SGF) by President Buhari on 19 April 2017, and was officially relieved of all duties on 30 October 2017 for misappropriating funds intended for alleviating the food crisis in Nigeria's Northeast, caused largely by Boko Haram. Early life and education Lawal completed his primary education at St. Patrick's Primary School, Maiduguri in 1969 and proceeded to the Nigeria Military School Zaria, from 1970 – 1974 for his secondary education. Zaria is a metropolitan city in Nigeria which at the present time lies within four (4) local government areas in Kaduna state; it happens to be the capital city to the Zazzau Emirate Council, and one of the original seven Hausa city-states and a major city in the state. Ahmadu Bello University Zaria is a federal government research university in Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria. ABU was founded on 4 October 1962, as the pioneer university in Northern Nigeria. All Progressives Congress
The All Progressives Congress (APC) is one of the two major contemporary political parties in Nigeria, along with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Founded on 6 February 2013 from a merger of Nigeria's three largest opposition parties, the party came to power following the victory of party candidate Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 presidential election.
