BMW S68
The BMW S68 is a twin-turbocharged V8 engine produced by BMW. It will be used for the first time in the 2022 revised BMW X7 as the M60i. A few weeks after its presentation, BMW showed a study of the XM with a more powerful version of the engine. In addition, the basic version is also used in the BMW 760i for the US market. Design The S68 has a stroke of and the same displacement as its predecessor, but the compression ratio of 10.5:1 corresponds to the higher compressed predecessor variants. It has one turbocharger per cylinder bank and both chargers are placed in the middle of the cylinder banks in a hot-vee design taken from the previous S63 variant; there is only one exhaust manifold. The engine oil is cooled by an external cooler, and a newly developed oil pump is used for the oil circuit. BMW S63
The BMW N63 is a twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine which has been in production from 2008 to present. The N63 is the world's first production car engine to use a "hot-vee" layout, with the turbochargers located inside the "V" of the engine. It is also BMW's first turbocharged V8 engine. BMW XM
The BMW XM is a plug-in hybrid-electric full-size luxury crossover SUV manufactured by BMW under the BMW M subsidiary. It is the second car developed entirely by BMW M after the BMW M1 in 1978.
