BMW IX3
The BMW iX3 is a battery electric compact luxury crossover SUV manufactured by BMW. It was presented at the 2018 Beijing Motor Show in April as the battery electric version of the BMW X3 (G01). Built on the same platform as the conventional X3 with only subtle changes, it is the third car of the electric-focused BMW i family and the first battery electric BMW SUV. Overview The production version of the BMW iX3 was unveiled in July 2020. It has an 80 kWh battery pack with 73.83 kWh usable capacity, which delivers up to of range based on the WLTP. The iX3 is powered by a single electric motor on the rear axle that produces and accelerates from in 6.8 seconds. It has an electronically limited top speed of . BMW I
The BMW i is a sub-brand of BMW founded in 2011 to design and manufacture plug-in electric vehicles. The company initially released two vehicles: the i3 all-electric car and the i8 plug-in hybrid. The all-electric iX3 SUV was released in late 2020, while iX SUV and the i4 all-electric liftback sedan followed later in 2021. Concept versions of both the i3 and i8 were shown at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Worldwide harmonized Light vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) is a global standard for determining the levels of pollutants, CO2 emissions and fuel consumption of traditional and hybrid cars, as well as the range of fully electric vehicles. The WLTP was adopted by the Inland Transport Committee of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) as Addenda No. 15 to the Global Registry (Global Technical Regulations) defined by the 1998 Agreement.
