BJP Mahila Morcha, or simply Mahila Morcha (IPA: Mahilā Mōrcā, ), is the women's wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of India. Vanathi Srinivasan, former Tamil Nadu BJP Unit Vice president and current Member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from Coimbatore South state assembly constituency is the national president of the wing. Campaigns In September 2019 the Mahila Morcha used the Durga Puja festival in a campaign to spread the BJP party's message to women particularly on Article 370 and the National Register of Citizens (NRC). Controversies In August 2022, Seema Patra, member of the national working committee of the BJP's women's wing, allegedly tortured a domestic worker named Sunita. Vanathi Srinivasan (Help:IPA/Tamil, /ʋaːnati/) is an Indian politician and a lawyer. As a lawyer, she has practiced in Madras High Court since 1993. She is a member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from Coimbatore South constituency. She currently serves as the National President of the Women's Wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Early life and education Vanathi Srinivasan was born on 6 June 1970 to Kandasamy and Poovathal in Uliyampalayam Village near Thondamuthur block in Coimbatore. She is the eldest child in her family and she has a brother named Shiva Kumar. She did her schooling at Thondamuthur Higher Secondary School. She went on to pursue her UG program in Chemistry from PSG College of Arts and Science. Integral Humanism (India)
Integral humanism was a set of concepts drafted by Deendayal Upadhyaya as a political program and adopted in 1965 as the official doctrine of the Jan Sangh and later BJP. Upadhyaya borrowed the Gandhian principles such as sarvodaya (progress of all), swadeshi (domestic), and Gram Swaraj (village self rule) and these principles were appropriated selectively to give more importance to cultural-national values. These values were based on an individual's undisputed subservience to nation as a corporate entity. The creation and adoption of these concepts helped to suit the major discourses in the Indian political arena of 1960s and 1970s.
