The Federal Public Planning Service Science Policy ( nl, Programmatorische Federale Overheidsdienst Wetenschapsbeleid; french: Service public fédéral de programmation Politique scientifique; german: Föderaler Öffentlicher Programmierungsdienst Wissenschaftspolitik) or Belgian Science Policy Office, Federal Science Policy, known by the acronym BELSPO, is the federal government body responsible for research policy in Belgium. It designs and implements research programmes and networks and manages the participation of Belgium in European and international organisations. BELSPO supervises Belgian federal scientific organisations. The Royal Meteorological Institute of Belgium (French: ''Institut Royal Météorologique de Belgique'' or IRM; Dutch: ''Koninklijk Meteorologisch Instituut van België'' or KMI) is a Belgian federal institute engaged in scientific research in the field of meteorology. The Museum of Natural Sciences of Belgium (french: Muséum des sciences naturelles de Belgique, nl, Museum voor Natuurwetenschappen van België) is a museum dedicated to natural history, located in Brussels, Belgium. The museum is a part of the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences. Its most important pieces are 30 fossilised ''Iguanodon'' skeletons, which were discovered in 1878 in Bernissart, Belgium. The Dinosaur Hall of the museum is the world's largest museum hall completely dedicated to dinosaurs. The Belgian Co-ordinated Collections of Micro-organisms (BCCM) is a Belgian government funded consortium of seven scientific institutions, who manage and exploit a collection of microbial and genetic resources. The consortium comprises more than 269,000 publicly available strains of bacteria including mycobacteria and cyanobacteria, filamentous fungi, yeasts, diatoms and plasmids. The Academia Belgica is an academic organization. The goal of the Academy is to promote the cultural, scientific and artistic cooperation between Italy and Belgium. The organization was founded in 1939 when the Belgian princess Marie-José married the Italian crown prince Umberto.
