Basketball Club Vienna, for sponsorship reasons BC GGMT Vienna, is an Austrian professional basketball club based in Vienna. It plays in the Austrian Basketball Superliga and has won the Austrian championship one time, in 2013. History The team was founded in 2001 as Basketball Club Vienna. The first championship in club history came in the 2012–13 season, after Vienna beat Oberwart Gunners 3–2 in the Finals. In September 2015, the team was renamed to "BC Hallmann Vienna", after new main sponsor Hallmann Holding of owner Klemens Hallmann. Austrian Basketball Superliga
The Austrian Basketball Superliga (English: Basketball Super League) is the highest tier basketball league in Austria. Established in 2019, it replaced the Austrian Basketball Bundesliga (ABL) as the first level competition in the country. The winners of the Superliga are crowned Austrian champions. The competition aims to start "a new era" in Austrian basketball. In its inaugural season, the competition consists of ten teams. History The Basketball Superliga was established in the summer of 2019 to replace the Austrian Bundsliga. Television contracts were signed with Sky Sport and ORF. All games will also be streamed online. On 9 August 2019, the ten teams that would compete in the inaugural season were announced, with nine teams coming from last ÖBL season. Richaud Jeron-Felix Pack (born October 17, 1992) is an American / Sierra Leoneon professional basketball player who last played for Aris Thessaloniki of the Greek Basket League. Andre Owens (born October 31, 1980) is an American former professional basketball player and head coach. High school and college basketball A 6'4" (1.93 m) guard, he played competitively at Perry Meridian High School where he was an Indiana All-Star in his senior season. Ryan Earl Richards (born 24 April 1991) is a British-Jamaican basketball player who plays for the Aomori Wat's of the B.League. He began playing in England and has played for short spells for numerous teams in several countries.
