BC Mureș
Baschet Club Mureș, commonly known as BC Mureș, was a Romanian professional basketball team based in Târgu Mureș, Romania. The club was a member of the Liga Națională. They were often referred to as "The Tigers"; their home arena was nicknamed "The Jungle" due to the loud crowd and the pressure they could create on visiting teams. After reaching the playoffs four times but never advancing the first round BC Mureș went all the way to the finals in the 2012–13 LNBM season, but lost 4–2 in a seven-game series in front of CSU Asesoft Ploiesti. In 2013, BC Mureș debuted in Europe in the EuroChallenge and in 2018, the club was dissolved. 2012–13 season The 2012–13 season was a great season for the team. BC Mureș finished first in the regular season with 23 wins and 7 losses, and qualified for the Play-offs. Travis Reed (born August 6, 1979) is an American retired professional basketball player. Reed played college basketball for UCLA and Long Beach State. He played professionally in the Netherlands, Estonia, Romania, Australia and Germany. Professional career He is left-handed and was known as a very effective player around the basket. Major Wingate
Major Leon-Legrant Wingate (November 10, 1983 – October 2, 2021) was an American basketball player. Wingate began playing high school basketball at Wilson High School where he averaged 15 points, 14 rebounds, 7 assists, and 4 blocks as a junior. For his senior year, he moved to North Gwinnett where he was ranked among the top 50 players in the class of 2003 and 10th-best center prospect in the nation. After a successful high school run, he played college basketball for the Tennessee Volunteers. In 2006, Wingate was kicked off the team after violating the team's substance abuse policy; he subsequently went pro, playing in Greece still intending to enter the NBA draft. While never drafted, he did unsuccessfully try out for the Sacramento Kings. Instead, he played in Turkey, China, France, and Romania. Louis Truscott (born October 7, 1978) is a former American professional basketball player. He played for BC Mureș in Romanian Basketball Division A. Career 2002-03 Truscott played for Houston in NCAA Division 1. In 28 games, he averaged 15.32 points, 11.32 rebounds and 1.11 assists. 2003-04 Truscott was drafted by the Gary Steelheads of the CBA. 2007–08 BC Mures Season
BC Mures finished the 2007–2008 half season in 8th place with a record of 7 wins and 6 losses. The team had the best offense in the Romanian first division with 1163 points (89,46 points/game), but also held the worst defense record with 1164 (89,53 points/game). Midway through the season, Troy Selvey and Jon Clark were waived by the management, even though both players were loved by the fans of BC Mures. To replace these players, management signed two players from the United States: Louis Truscott a 29-year-old, 200 cm and Frank Edward Russell, a 24-year-old, 211 cm center. Jay Anderson, the forward who was injured in the team's first game, missed the entire season and was replaced by Luke McKenna.
