Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague
The Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague (USL) ( uk, Українська баскетбольна суперліга) is the first-tier level of professional basketball league in Ukraine. Established in 1992, the league is currently contested by 10 clubs. It is a tier above the Ukrainian Higher League and allows for one season from the Higher League each season to be promoted. The league exists out of a regular season, in which team play for playoff-seeding, followed by playoffs to determine the Ukrainian champion. Budivelnyk is the most successful team in league history with 10 titles. The winners of the Superleague qualify for the qualifying rounds of the Basketball Champions League (BCL). 2020–21 season Teams 11 teams are in the competition. Ternopil is new team in the league. Gjorgji "Stanko" Čekovski ( mk, Ѓорѓи Чековски; born December 11, 1979) is a Macedonian professional basketball player. He was also a member of the Macedonian national basketball team. Macedonian national team Čekovski is also a member of the Macedonian national basketball team. He competed with the team at Eurobasket 2011 and helped the team to a fourth-place finish, its best ever performance at the continental championship. In the group game against Greece, he was one of the heroes, scoring 11 points including three three-pointers and playing great defense to secure the win. Steven Dwayne Burtt Jr. ( uk, Стівен Буртт; born March 7, 1984) is an American-born naturalized Ukrainian professional basketball player. After four years at Iona, Burtt entered the 2006 NBA draft but was not selected. High school career Burtt played high school basketball at Rice High School, in New York City, New York. College career As of April 2015, Burtt is Iona’s second all-time leader in scoring with 2,034 points, behind his father Steve Burtt Sr. They are one of just two father-son duos to score 2,000 points each in NCAA Division I basketball, the other being Dell Curry and Steph Curry. Randy Lechard Culpepper (born May 16, 1989) is an American professional basketball player for Basket Brno of the NBL. College career He played for the University of Texas El Paso Miners. He is in Conference USA's top 15 all-time in career scoring, and in 2009–10 was named the Conference USA Men's Basketball Player of the Year. The 2018–19 Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague was the 2018–19 edition of the Ukraine, Ukrainian top-tier basketball championship. Cherkaski Mavpy were the defending champions. BC Khimik, Khimik won its third domestic title, its first one since 2015–16 SL Favorit Sport season, 2016, after beating Kyiv-Basket in the finals.
