BC Transmission Corporation
The British Columbia Transmission Corporation (BCTC) was a Crown corporation in the province of British Columbia, Canada. Its mandate was to plan, build, operate and maintain B.C.'s electricity transmission system. History and background The British Columbia Transmission Corporation (BCTC) was a provincial Crown corporation located in downtown Vancouver regulated by the BC Utilities Commission (BCUC). BCTC was formed in 2003 as a mandate to separate the province's power transmission and generation initiatives but was integrated back into its sister company BC Hydro on 5 July 2010 as part of the province's Clean Energy Act. BCTC was formed to operate the transmission system, while BC Hydro remained the owner of the transmission system. British Columbia Treaty Process
The British Columbia Treaty Process (BCTP) is a land claims negotiation process started in 1993 to resolve outstanding issues, including claims to un-extinguished indigenous rights, with British Columbia's First Nations. Two treaties have been implemented under the BCTP. The Nisga'a Treaty is considered separate from the Treaty Process because those negotiations began before the BC treaty process was started, and it has been called a blueprint for the current process. To represent the interests of First Nations involved with the process, the First Nations Summit was created. Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) is a public community college in Lexington, Kentucky. It is one of sixteen two-year, open admission colleges of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). It was formed from the consolidation of two separate institutions: Lexington Community College and Central Kentucky Technical College. Lexington Community College was the last remaining college in the University of Kentucky Community College System, until a vote by the trustees transferred governance to KCTCS in 2004. Prior to 1984, the college was named Lexington Technical Institute. Central Kentucky Technical College was part of the Workforce Development Cabinet of Kentucky State Government until the creation of KCTCS in 1997. Brooklyn Center Transit Center (BCTC) is a Transport hub#Public transport, transit center in the Minneapolis, Minnesota, Minneapolis suburb of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. The transit center is not a park and ride, but provides free 10-minute parking and free outdoor bike racks.
