BBL All-Star
The BBL All-Star Game is the annual All-Star Game of the German first division basketball league, the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL). The event is based on the original NBA concept, and includes a slam dunk contest and a three-point shootout. Since 2012, the All-Star Game is played between "Team National" (domestic players) and "Team International" (foreign players). All-Star Game
An all-star game is an exhibition game that purports to showcase the best players (the "stars") of a sports league. The exhibition is between two teams organized solely for the event, usually representing the league's teams based on region or division, but sometimes dividing the players by an attribute such as nationality. Selection of the players may be done by a vote of the coaches and/or news media; in professional leagues, fans may vote on some or all of the roster. An all-star game usually occurs at the midpoint of the regular season. An exception is American football's NFL Pro Bowl, which occurs at the end of the season. All-star games are usually organized like regular games, but are often played with less emphasis on victory. Competing goals are to give many players time in the game and to avoid injury. Brose Arena
Brose Arena (official spelling: brose ARENA) is the third largest multi-functional indoor arena in Bavaria, after the Olympic Hall in Munich, and the Arena Nürnberger Versicherung, in Nuremberg. History The rights relating to the name of the arena, built in 2001, and previously known as Forum Bamberg, were sold to JAKO (a manufacturer of team sports clothing) in March 2006. In connection with this process, building work was carried out to expand the capacity from 4,750 seats for basketball games (6,850 for concerts) to 6,820 for basketball with standing room (nearly 8,000 for concerts). The structural alteration work, which cost six million euros, brought the foyer forward by 20 meters, to make room for a new north stand. Ludwigsburg (; Swabian: ''Ludisburg'') is a city in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, about north of Stuttgart city centre, near the river Neckar. It is the largest and primary city of the Ludwigsburg district with about 88,000 inhabitants. John Bryant (born June 13, 1987) is an American professional basketball player for Mitteldeutscher BC of the Basketball Bundesliga. Bryant was the 2009 West Coast Conference player of the year and an All-American as a senior at Santa Clara University. Isaiah Swann (born February 10, 1985) is an American professional basketball player for Juvecaserta of the Serie A2 Basket. He played college basketball for Florida State University before playing professionally in Italy, Israel, Turkey, Germany, France, Argentina and Venezuela. Bradley Daniel Wanamaker (born July 25, 1989) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Washington Wizards of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
