BBK BMS
Basketballklubben BMS, referred to as BMS, is a professional basketball club based in Ballerup–MÃ¥løv–Skovlunde, Denmark. BMS plays its home games at Rosenlundskolen in Skovlunde, in Ballerup Super Arena or in Højager Hall in Ballerup. BMS has on several occasions worked with neighboring club Herlev Basketball Club. It won a joint 1st in the men's division in the 2008–09 season, where the objective was to move up in the top row of the Women's League. History BMS was founded in 1972. The club won its first senior title by defeating the Falcons with 87–85 in the Cup final. In the 1981–82 season the club employed Otis Loyd as a playing coach for the men and trainer for the women. In the fall, the men participated in the European Cup. Their opponents in the first round were the Norwegian champions Sandvika (Oslo). Måløv
MÃ¥løv is a suburb within Ballerup Municipality, closely attached to Smørumnedre approx. 20 km. west of Copenhagen, in the Capital region, with a population of 8,787 (2022). The suburb is made up by single-family houses and a housing project. 93% of the inhabitants are native Danes. The suburb is connected with the S-train and MÃ¥løv station serves commuters from both MÃ¥løv and Smørumnedre. MÃ¥løv is considered to be founded in 1193. Green areas MÃ¥løv has many green areas and fields around it. So although the city today differs in both scope and character from the time MÃ¥løv was a village and a station village, the traces of the bygone times are easy to find. Skovlunde

Skovlunde has approximately 12.000 inhabitants and is on the Copenhagen S-train network. Ballerup Municipality has approximately 50.000 inhabitants. Overview The town was founded in the Middle Ages and first appears in written material (a letter) dating back to 11 November 1249. Skovlunde consist of two parts, the older ''Gammel Skovlunde'' where you can find housing dating back from the seventeenth century and up to the eighteenth century. The other part of Skovlunde is the product of people relocating from Copenhagen in the 1960s and a lot of newly built residential areas. Otis Loyd
Otis Loyd is an American basketball coach and former professional basketball player. Career A Brooklyn native, Loyd played basketball at the City College of New York. He started his professional career in 1974 in Helsingborg, Sweden. He spent two years there, then moved to Lugi Basketbollklubb in Lund, Sweden, for one year. Loyd returned to Helsingborg for another year and then went back to the United States to finish his college degree. During the 1979–80 season he played in Sweden again, this time with Malbas BBK in the city of Malmö. In 1980–81, he served as Malbas' player-coach. Loyd joined BMS Skovlunde of Denmark for the 1981–82 season, where he served as player-coach, while at the same time coaching the women's team. With the men's team, he competed in the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1981–82: In the first round, he helped BMS defeat Sandvika BBK of Norway, scoring a total of 55 points in two games. The Basketligaen ( en, The Basketball League) is the highest professional basketball league in Denmark. The original men's first division was founded in 1957 and the current league was founded in 1998. All-time record holder in league titles is Bakken Bears, which has captured 18 titles in its history. The Kvindebasketligaen is the premier championship for women's basketball clubs in Denmark. It was created in 1971, and it is currently contested by eight teams.
