BAR 003
The BAR 003 was the car with which the British American Racing team competed in the Formula One season. It was driven by Jacques Villeneuve, who was in his third year with the team, and Olivier Panis, who joined from a year out of racing as McLaren's test driver. Overview After the team's disastrous début season in had been partially redeemed by a promising display in , hopes were high for regular podiums and even wins in 2001. However, the team took a step backwards. The car suffered from a handling problem, caused by a lack of rigidity in the chassis, which caused a slide in competitiveness as the year progressed, and was also often unreliable. The 2001 United States Grand Prix (formally the 2001 SAP United States Grand Prix) was a Formula One motor race held on September 30, 2001, at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Speedway, Indiana in the United States. The 73-lap race was the sixteenth and penultimate round of the 2001 Formula One season and was won by Mika Häkkinen. It was the first international sport/race event held in the United States after the September 11, 2001 attacks. Jordan EJ11
The Jordan EJ11 was the car with which the Jordan team competed in the Formula One season. Background The car was different from its disappointing predecessor, the Jordan EJ10. The EJ11 now had seven gears instead of the previous car's six, and also featured a much higher nose (resulting in a shark-based livery). But, most notably, the team now had full-works Honda engines (the same engine as it was used by BAR 003), replacing the Mugen Honda engines used for the previous three years. Jordan Grand Prix was a Formula One constructor that competed from 1991 to 2005. The team was named after Irish businessman and founder Eddie Jordan. The team was based at Silverstone, UK but raced with an Irish licence.
