KTHV (channel 11) is a television station in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States, affiliated with CBS. The station is owned by Tegna Inc., and maintains studios on South Izard Street in downtown Little Rock and a transmitter atop Shinall Mountain, near the Chenal Valley, Little Rock, Arkansas, Chenal Valley section of the city. However, master control and some internal operations are based at the studios of sister station and NBC affiliate WCNC-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina. History The station first signed on the air on November 27, 1955; it was originally owned by the Arkansas Television Company, a consortium that included among others, the owners of radio station KWKH in Shreveport, Louisiana, Shreveport, the owners of the ''Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Arkansas Democrat,'' and Little Rock businessman and insurance executive Clyde E.
