Blue Stahli is an American electronic rock project by Bret Autrey. Blue Stahli has appeared in a number of movie trailers, shows and games. History Musical beginnings and VOXiS (1997–2006) Autrey started music at a young age, learning through the use of an old beat up piano he had rescued from a dump. He worked through 3 years of piano lessons, by mimicking his neighbor and playing the melodies by ear. During this same time, he had become interested in sampling and programming music using DOS's Impulse Tracker. Later he received lessons from a friend for guitar, and would play along to music such as Queen's soundtrack to ''Flash Gordon''. He has played in a band as the guitarist, fronted by drag queens; as well as joining a burlesque troupe as a DJ to their shows. Autrey used his self-taught musical skills alongside Collin Landis to enter a demo-tape titled Mainframe into Flaming Fish Music. An outtake is a portion of a work (usually a film or music recording) that is removed in the editing process and not included in the work's final, publicly released version. In the digital era, significant outtakes have been appended to CD and DVD reissues of many albums and films as bonus tracks or features, in film often, but not always, for the sake of humor. Mariachi
Mariachi (, , ) is a genre of regional Mexican music that dates back to at least the 18th century, evolving over time in the countryside of various regions of western Mexico. The usual mariachi group today consists of as many as eight violins, two trumpets and at least one guitar, including a high-pitched vihuela and an acoustic bass guitar called a guitarrón, and all players taking turns singing lead and doing backup vocals. From the 19th to 20th century, migrations from rural areas into Guadalajara, along with the Mexican government's cultural promotion gradually re-labeled it as ''son'' style, with its alternative name of ''mariachi'' becoming used for the 'urban' form. "ULTRAnumb" is the third single by the American multi-genre project Blue Stahli. It remains as Blue Stahli's most popular song to date. A music video for the song was released on 7 February 2013. Overview ULTRAnumb is characterised by heavy use of guitars and modified vocals in tandem to layers of smooth harmonies. The song was produced by Klayton of Celldweller and mixed by Klayton and Bret. The female vocals in song are credited to Beth. Music video The song's accompanying music video features Blue Stahli in a pool full of blood, two women gossiping and having a beating human heart at a picnic, smashing it into a chunky mess and covering themselves in its blood, a choreographed dance with leathered suits and sand, and a short Celldweller guest appearance. IAMX
IAMX is the solo musical project of Chris Corner of the band Sneaker Pimps. Founded in 2004 in London, it is an independent music project which also focuses on and experiments with visual art. Musically, IAMX spans multiple genres from electronic rock and dance music to burlesque-influenced songs and emotional ballads. Corner's striking and wide-ranging voice, and his way of programming sounds and beats, make up the obvious characteristic of the IAMX sound. From 2006 until 2014 IAMX was based in Berlin, Germany, where Corner found "the spirit to care less about the music industry and take an independent route."
