Aït Melloul
Aït Melloul (; ar, أيت ملول) is a city on the west coast of Morocco. It is located in the suburban area of Agadir just southeast of Inezgane, on the southern bank of the Sous River. According to the 2014 population census, the city is home to 171,847 inhabitants and 39,697 households. The city is part of the Inezgane-Aït Melloul prefecture in the administrative subdivision of Ait Melloul. Climate Ait Melloul is characterized with a mild and temperate climate in general, sometimes hot and dry. The climate of the city is influenced by the air currents from the Atlantic Ocean. Dry currents from the south and hot winds from the Sahara also influence the climate and temperature of the city. Transport Air Ait Melloul is home for Al Massira international airport which is one of the busiest airports in the south of Morocco. The basic unit of local government in Morocco is the commune. At the time of the 2014 Moroccan census, 2014 population census, Morocco was divided into 1538 communes, 256 of which were classified as urban and also called municipalities. The remaining 1282 communes were classified as rural. Urban centres were defined by the Haut Commissariat au Plan, High Commission for Planning for some rural communes. Prefecture Of Inezgane-Ait Melloul
Inezgane (; ) is the capital of Inezgane-Aït Melloul Prefecture located on the north bank of the Sous River, about south of Agadir, on the Atlantic Ocean coast of Morocco. It is in some ways a suburb to the larger Agadir, but unlike the tourism-centered Agadir, Inezgane is a typical Moroccan/Berber city. Located where the N1, N8 and N10 highways meet, Inezgane is an important transport hub in the region of Souss-Massa. Inezgane is well known for its souks and silver jewellery, as well as for its vegetable, fruit, and spice market. Tuesday is the main market day, when people come from all the villages nearby to sell their goods and buy provisions for the week. Walid Azaro ( ar, وليد أزارو; born 11 June 1995) is a Moroccan professional footballer who plays as a striker for Ajman and the Moroccan national team. After beginning his career in his home country, he joined Al Ahly in 2017 and finished as the Egyptian Premier League's top goalscorer in his first season. Sous River
The Sous River, Sus River or Souss River ( Berber: Asif en Sus, Arabic: واد سوس) is a river in mid-southern Morocco located in the Sous region. It originates in the High Atlas and flows west passing Aoulouz, Taroudannt, Oulad Teima, Inezgane and Aït Melloul. It forms a basin which is protected from the desertic climate of the Sahara by the Anti-Atlas mountains and is one of Morocco's most fertile regions. The Aoulouz Dam is the main dam on this river.
