Azra Sherwani
Azra Sherwani (1940–2005) was a Pakistani television actress with a career spanning over 35 years who played a variety of roles. Amongst her most memorable roles are Ghazi Apa in ''Uncle Urfi'', Saliha Begum in ''Aangan Terha'', Apa Begum in ''Tanhaiyaan'' and Fazeelat in ''Dhoop Kinarey''. Early life Azra was born in 1940 in Meerut, British India. Career She began her career with the Rawalpindi Studios of PTV in the late 1960s. Sherwani worked with some of the best producers in the country including Mohsin Ali, Shereen Khan, Shahzad Khalil, Sultana Siddiqui, Zaheer Khan and Sahira Kazmi. She also worked with some of the best writers of her time including Fatima Surayya Bajia, Haseena Moin and Anwar Maqsood. Aangan Terha
''Aangan Terha'' ( ur, , ) was a satirical Pakistani drama presented by the PTV network in the year 1984. The show starred Salim Nasir, Shakeel, Arshad Mehmood, Durdana Butt and Bushra Ansari in lead roles. It was directed by ''Qaiser Farooq'' and written by Anwar Maqsood. Plot and main theme The drama is based on many stories on multiple issues of the society and indirect criticism of the Martial Law and the military regime in Pakistan and the electoral system. Anwar Maqsood
Anwar Maqsood Hameedi (born 7 September 1939, Urdu:), popularly known as Anwar Maqsood, is a Pakistani scriptwriter, television presenter, satirist, humorist, and infrequent actor. He was well known for his drama write-ups for PTV in the late 1970s and 1980s. Early life and family Anwar Maqsood was born on 7 September 1939 in Hyderabad State. He studied at the Gulbarga Trust School in Aurangabad. His large family migrated to Karachi in 1948, after the creation of Pakistan in 1947. His childhood years were spent in PIB Colony, Karachi with his siblings and family. Subhani ba Yunus (1931–2006) was an accomplished Pakistani actor and television and radio personality whose distinct voice quality earned him a special place in Radio Pakistan. Younis was an Urdu-speaking Hyderabadi Muslim of Hadhrami Chaush descent. His claim to fame comes from Khwaja Moinuddin's stage plays, particularly ''Taleem-e-Balighan'' in which he played the role of a butcher. Talat Hussain (actor)
Talat Hussain Warsi, is a Pakistani actor. He is the son of Altaf Hussain Warsi and Shaista Begum who was one of the pioneering voices of Radio Pakistan, Karachi. Career Hussain has worked in several foreign films, television drama serials and long plays, including Channel Four's television serial ''Traffik'' and '' Family Pride.'' Sahira Kazmi (born 8th April 1950) is a retired Pakistani actress, producer and director. She is best known for her role in the country's first-ever colour series '' Parchaiyan'' (1976) and for producing the cult-classic blockbuster series '' Dhoop Kinare'' (1987) and the acclaimed drama ''Nijaat'' (1993).
