Ayrton Fagundes
Ayrton Fagundes (February 11, 1937 – March 14, 1994) was a Brazilian broadcast journalist. Best known as an anchorman for prime time television newscasts such as Camera 10, at TV Difusora (now Band TV), Globo TV Southern subsidiary RBS, and TV Record. Ayrton Fagundes belongs to the first generation of Brazilian journalists that have introduced the nightly news programming and weekly magazines as a new genre. A presenter, editor, and executive producer, he spent the last years of his career in the capital of Brazil, Brasilia, where he was appointed bureau-chief of the Brazilian financial news daily Jornal do Comercio, of Porto Alegre, writing a daily column in politics. Passo Fundo
Passo Fundo is a municipality in the north of the southern Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul. It is named after its river. It's the twelfth largest city in the state with an estimated population of 204,722 inhabitants living in a total municipal area of 780 km2. Passo Fundo is a city well known because of the singer, composer and filmmaker Vitor Mateus Teixeira, better known as Teixeirinha, he was born in the city of Rolante in Rio Grande do Sul, and adopted the city of Passo Fundo as his own, the singer liked a lot from the city, in 1960 he composed the song "Gaúcho de Passo Fundo", which was very successful and made Passo Fundo become a known city throughout Brazil. Rede Bandeirantes
Rede Bandeirantes (, ''Bandeirantes Network''), or simply known as Band (), is a Brazilian free-to-air television network. It began broadcasting on May 13, 1967 on VHF channel 13 in São Paulo. Its founder was businessman João Saad with the help of his father-in-law and former São Paulo governor Adhemar de Barros. In terms of audience and revenue, it is currently the fourth largest Brazilian television network. It broadcasts throughout Brazil through its owned-and-operated stations and affiliates. RBS TV is a Southern Brazilian television network owned by Grupo RBS, and one of the oldest Rede Globo affiliates. The acronym originally stood for Rede Brasil Sul de Televisão (English: "Brazil South Television Network"), but currently the network never uses its full name on-air. Alan Riding (born 8 December 1943, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a British author and journalist.
