Aynsley Thomas Dunbar (born 10 January 1946) is an English drummer. He has worked with John Mayall, Frank Zappa, Jeff Beck, Journey, Jefferson Starship, Nils Lofgren, Eric Burdon, Shuggie Otis, Ian Hunter, Lou Reed, David Bowie, Mick Ronson, Whitesnake, Pat Travers, Sammy Hagar, Michael Schenker, UFO, Michael Chapman, Jake E. Lee, Leslie West, Kathi McDonald, Keith Emerson, Mike Onesko, Herbie Mann and Flo & Eddie. Dunbar was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Journey in 2017. Career Aynsley Thomas Dunbar was born in Liverpool, England. He started his professional career in Derry Wilkie and the Pressmen in 1963. Hugh Murray-Aynsley
Hugh Percy Murray–Aynsley (8 October 1828 – 22 February 1917) was a 19th-century Member of Parliament in Canterbury, New Zealand. Early life Murray-Aynsley was born in Gloucestershire, England, in 1828. His father was John Murray-Aynsley (1795–1870) from Little Harle Tower, his grandfather was Lord Charles Murray-Aynsley (1771–1808), and his great-grandfather was John Murray, 3rd Duke of Atholl (1729–1774). His mother was Emma Sarah Peach, and his mother's grandfather was Henry Cruger. His grandfather was baptised as Charles Murray and upon his marriage to Alicia Mitford (1768–1813), the heiress of her great-uncle, Gawen Aynsley, Esq, he assumed the additional surname Aynsley. Murray-Aynsley was educated privately; his tutor later became Bishop of Ely. For a time, Murray-Aynsley managed a sugar plantation in Trinidad for his cousin, Sir William Miles, with the firm operating as Miles & Co. Lord Charles Murray-Aynsley
Lord Charles Murray-Aynsley (21 October 1771 – 5 May 1808) was an English dean. Life Murray-Aynsley was the youngest of nine children of John Murray, 3rd Duke of Atholl, and Charlotte Murray, Duchess of Atholl, and baptized as Charles Murray. On 18 June 1793 he married Alicia Mitford (1768–1813), daughter of George Mitford, and heiress of her great-uncle, Gawen Aynsley, Esq. Upon the marriage, he assumed the surname Aynsley. In 1803 Murray-Aynsley was made Dean of Bocking, in Essex, where he entertained King Louis XVIII of France and his suite. Aynsley Lister
Aynsley Lister (born 14 November 1976 in Leicester, England) is a British blues-rock guitarist/singer and songwriter. Biography Lister started playing guitar at 8 and played his first concert in a bar band at the age of 13. He had learned guitar by playing along to his father's old 45s of Freddie King, John Mayall and Eric Clapton. By the time he was 18, having already been in several bands, he formed his own, which recorded two albums ''Messin' With The Kid'' (1996) and ''Pay Attention!'' (1997). Three numbers written by Lister, on the second album, attracted the attention of Ruf Records' owner Thomas Ruf. In 1998 they signed a record deal and Lister recorded his first major album, ''Aynsley Lister'', produced by Jim Gaines. The tracks were primarily Lister compositions, and the album featured a guest appearance by Walter Trout. The album led to him touring Europe and working with some of the top current blues players. Cecil Aynsley
Cecil "The Red Flyer" Aynsley (March 23, 1902 – May 8, 1975) was an Australian professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1920s and 1930s. A Queensland state and Australian representative and talented goal-kicker, he scored a try in each of his four national representative appearances. Born in Charters Towers, Queensland, Aynsley began his rugby league career there before in 1921 playing for the Western Suburbs Panthers in the Brisbane Rugby League premiership. Three years later he made his début for Australia against the touring Great Britain side playing in all three Test matches, scoring on each occasion. During the 1925 season he toured New Zealand with the Queensland team. He had a tremendous tour, scoring 34 tries in only eleven matches. This leading to the local press proclaiming him as "the Gloaming of rugby league" after the Australian race-horse which enjoyed success in New Zealand. John Aynsley
John Aynsley (1823 – 7 February 1907) was an English potter who established the Portland Works in Longton, Staffordshire. Biography John Aynsley's family had been producing fine bone china since 1775. He was born in Longton, Staffordshire in 1823 to James Aynsley and Charlotte née Anderson. He received some education in a dame school. Because of the family circumstances Aynsley was forced to begin work at the age of nine, for two-pence a day. He later had three jobs at three different factories working up to sixteen hours per day. In 1848 he moved to Derby to find new employment, but subsequently returned to Staffordshire, becoming a business partner with Sampson Bridgwood. In 1861, Aynsley built Portland Works in Longton, in a classic styles with a pedimented gable. In 1865, Aynsley was elected to Longton council. Sir Eugene Aynsley Goossens (; 26 May 189313 June 1962) was an English conducting, conductor and composer. Biography He was born in Camden Town, London, the son of the Belgian conductor and violinist Eugène Goossens, fils, Eugène Goossens (''fils'', 1867–1958) and Annie Cook, a Carl Rosa Opera Company singer. He was the grandson of the conductor Eugène Goossens, père, Eugène Goossens (''père'', 1845–1906; his father and grandfather spelled Eugène with a grave accent; he himself did not). He studied music at the age of ten in Bruges, three years later at Liverpool College of Music, and in 1907 in London on a scholarship at the Royal College of Music under composer Charles Villiers Stanford and the violinist Achille Rivarde among others.
