Jan Axelson
Janet Louise Axelson (born 1949) is an American author and conservationist. She writes and publishes technical literature and documentation under the pen name Jan Axelson. Much of her work relates to computer interfaces and protocols, including USB, Ethernet, serial, and parallel ports. Her books are published by her company Lakeview Research, LLC, which is based in Madison, Wisconsin. She has also written articles for Nuts and Volts, and the Wisconsin State Journal. Joe Axelson
Joseph A. Axelson (December 25, 1927 – May 31, 2008) was an American sports executive who served as general manager of Cincinnati Royals/Kansas City Kings/Sacramento Kings from 1969 to 1979 and again from 1982 to 1988. He played a role in the franchise’s relocation from Cincinnati to Kansas City– Omaha, and then on to Sacramento, California. Early life and career Axelson was born on December 25, 1927, in Peoria, Illinois. He grew up in Clinton, Illinois, where his father was the high school basketball coach from 1928 to 1947. Axelson's first job came at the age of 15 when he began working as a dispatcher for the Illinois Central Railroad. In 1947, Axelson graduated from Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning. From 1947 to 1949, was the officer in charge of the Armed Forces Radio Service station in Whittier, Alaska. Matthew Gene "Axe" Axelson (June 25, 1976 – June 28, 2005) was an enlisted United States Navy SEAL who was awarded the U.S. Navy's second highest decoration, the Navy Cross and the Purple Heart, for his actions during the War in Afghanistan (2001–present), War in Afghanistan.
