Axel Coldevin
Axel Coldevin (4 March 1900 – 23 June 1992) was a Norwegian historian. He was born in Dønna. He is best known for his works on trade and industry in Northern Norway. He was co-editor of the series ''Vårt folks historie'' from 1963, and wrote volume five of the series, ''Enevoldstiden''. Dønna is a List of municipalities of Norway, municipality in Nordland Counties of Norway, county, Norway. It is part of the Helgeland Districts of Norway, region. The administrative centre of the island municipality is the village of Solfjellsjøen. Other villages include Bjørn, Dønna, Bjørn, Dønnes, Hestad, Dønna, Hestad, Sandåker, and Vandve. King's Medal Of Merit
The King's Medal of Merit (Norwegian: ''Kongens fortjenstmedalje'') is a Norwegian award. It was instituted in 1908 to reward meritorious achievements in the fields of art, science, business, and public service. It is divided in two classes: gold and silver. The medal in gold is rewarded for extraordinary achievements of importance to the nation and society. The medal in silver may be awarded for lesser achievements. The medal is suspended from a ribbon in the colours of the Royal Standard of Norway. The medal in gold is ranked eighth in the ranking of Norwegian orders and medals. Knut Helle
Knut Helle (19 December 1930 – 27 June 2015) was a Norwegian historian. A professor at the University of Bergen from 1973 to 2000, he specialized in the late medieval history of Norway. He has contributed to several large works. Early life, education and marriage He was born in Larvik as the son of school inspector Hermann Olai Helle (1893–1973) and teacher Berta Marie Malm (1906–1991). He was the older brother of politician Ingvar Lars Helle. The family moved to Hetland when Knut Helle was seventeen years old. He took the examen artium in Stavanger in 1949, and a teacher's education in Kristiansand in 1952. He studied philology in Oslo and Bergen, and graduated with the cand.philol. degree in 1957.
