The Æsir (Old Norse: ) are the gods of the principal pantheon in Norse religion. They include Odin, Frigg, Höðr, Thor, and Baldr. The second Norse pantheon is the Vanir. Axel Andrésson
Axel Andrésson (November 22, 1895 – June 13, 1961) was a pioneer of Icelandic football and founder of football club Víkingur FC. He was the son of Andrés Andrésson tradesman and Kristin Pálsdóttir housewife. Axel was the mainspring for Víkingur Reykjavik in the club's early years, serving as its first chairman and coach from years 1908-1924 and 1930-1932. He was the first to become a licensed football referee at ÍSÍ - National Olympic and Sports Association of Iceland. After being appointed as a coach at ÍSÍ in 1941, Axel held various sports workshops throughout Iceland, focusing upon football and handball intertwined with athletics and other sports. Axel Anderson (December 11, 1929 – December 16, 2012) was a German actor who was very popular in his adopted homeland of Puerto Rico. Biography Early life Anderson was born Axel Levy to a Jewish family in Berlin, Germany. In 1936 Anderson's family escaped the Holocaust by emigrating to Paraguay. Due to political instability in Paraguay, Anderson's family soon moved to Argentina. Anderson started acting as a teenager, working at the ''Teatro Alemán Independiente'', a small theater troupe mainly composed of German expatriates who performed in German. During the 1950s, Anderson moved his young family to Bogotá, Colombia where he worked in theater. The family later moved to the Dominican Republic. During his time in the Dominican Republic, Anderson reportedly clashed with the politics of the Rafael Trujillo regime, being forced to emigrate one more time. Axel Andersen Byrval
Axel Andreas Jacob Andersen Byrval (13 March 1875 – 1957) was a Danish amateur football player and manager. He played for Boldklubben Frem, where he was also a cricketer. Byrval was the manager of the Danish national football team for 16 matches in the years 1913–1915 and 1917–1918. Biography Born in Copenhagen, Byrval started playing football with Boldklubben Frem. In 1895, several players left Frem, and Byrval and Peter Mikkelsen went on to play for B 93. They returned to Frem in 1897, and were the first two players to represent Frem at an international level, when they were a part of the first Danish national selection, composed solely of players from the Copenhagen clubs. Axel Johan Anderberg (November 27, 1860 – March 27, 1937) was a Swedish architect. He was active from the 1880s to the early 1930s. Biography Anderberg was born in Kristianstad in Skåne County, Sweden. Anderberg received his education in the architectural school of the Royal Institute of Technology (1880-1884), and the architecture section of the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts (1884–1887), after which he spent a year traveling to Germany, France and Italy. His first significant commission was the new Opera House in Stockholm (1889–1898), which replaced the Gustavian Opera House which had dated to 1782. After having won the contest for the building he spent additional time abroad for the particular purpose of studying theatre architecture. Axel Eugen Alexander von Oesterreich (22 June 1910 – 6 September 1988), better known as Axel von Ambesser, was a German playwright, actor and film director. Ambesser's father was Alexander Constantin von Oesterreich. Ambesser was born in Hamburg and attended Wilhelm-Gymnasium. Axel Algmark (born in 1990) is a Swedish pop singer. Although he is from Tranås, he is a resident of Örnsköldsvik. At 22, he took part in ''Melodifestivalen 2012'' in a bid to represent Sweden in finals to be held in Baku, Azerbaijan. He presented the song "Kyss mig" (meaning Kiss me) co-written by Mattias Frändå, Jonathan Magnussen and Algmark himself in the fourth semi-final held on 25 February 2012 in Malmö Arena, Malmö.
