Avtokam (Russian: Ассоциация Автокам) was a Russian association of car manufacturers. The company was organised as an association in which members provided their shares in the form of free workshops. In 1989, during a conference in Yelabuga Tatarstan, it was decided for a new venture to be created for the production of inexpensive vehicles by a screwdriver assembly. Rickman Motorcycles was a British, independent motorcycle chassis constructor established by brothers Derek and Don Rickman. The firm manufactured motorcycles from through . History Initially the frame designs were for scrambles, and then for road racing. Later, in 1966, road bikes were produced as well. The first street legal bike used a Triumph Bonneville engine. Rickman initially supplied frame kits to the public, as no major British motorcycle manufacturers would sell engines separately. Velta Machine-Building Plant (russian: ОАО «Велта») was a company based in Perm, Russia. Perm Velta was a large enterprise that produced electronics for the military. It also produced (among several types of consumer goods) bicycles, for which it had about 20% of the Russian market, and auto spare parts. It also exported some bicycles. The company was established in June 1939 by order of the People's Commissariat of Ammunition. In 1946 production switched to civilian products such as gramophones, and ten years later, the production of bicycles. Stakhanov, Ukraine
Stakhanov (), or Kadiivka () is a city in the Luhansk Oblast (region) of eastern Ukraine occupied by Russia. The city is incorporated as a city of oblast significance. Its population is approximately . Name Before 1937 the city was known as Kadiivka. From 1937 to 1940 the city was named Sergo ( uk, Серго, translit=Serho) in honor of Sergo Ordzhonikidze, and then from 1940 to 1978 the city was again known as Kadiivka.
