Autodrome Chaudière
Autodrome Chaudière is a quarter mile, high banked, asphalt short track located in Vallée-Jonction, Quebec, Canada, about 65 kilometres south of Quebec City. The circuit opened in 1992 as a dirt track; in 2005, the track underwent resurfacing to convert it into an asphalt track. Notable series which have competed at Autodrome Chaudiere include the ACT Castrol Series, PASS North Series, ISMA Racing Series and Sportsman Quebec. The track has also hosted a NASCAR Pinty's Series The NASCAR Pinty's Series (french: Série NASCAR Pinty's), commonly abbreviated as NPS, is a national NASCAR racing series in Canada, and is a continuation of the old CASCAR Super Series which was founded in 1981. International Supermodified Association
The International Supermodified Association (ISMA) is a sanctioning body of Short track motor racing, short track auto racing in the United States and is the largest sanctioning body of Supermodified racing, supermodified type Open-wheel car, open wheel racing. History Founded in 1974 by multi-time Oswego Speedway champions Jim Shampine and Nolan Swift to ensure the future of supermodified racing. With the help of local businessman, Tom Heveron, they formed ISMA as a forum for owners and drivers to express their ideas and opinions as they felt that they were not allowed to do so under the management of Oswego Speedway. The goals were to upgrade supermodified racing with better safety conditions, more events per season to insure sufficient purses and to aid drivers with their race related problems. The Pro All Stars Series is a stock car racing governing body active in the United States of America and Canada. The series started in 2001 and now sanctions various series including North, South, and National Super Late Model tours and a New England Modified tour. History The Pro All Stars Series started with the PASS North Pro Stock in 2001. The class was founded by former stockcar racer Tom Mayberry. The series was a successor to the Northeast Pro Stock Association and International Pro Stock Challenge. The first race was held on 20 May 2001 at Lee USA Speedway. The NASCAR Pinty's Series (french: Série NASCAR Pinty's), commonly abbreviated as NPS, is a national NASCAR racing series in Canada, and is a continuation of the old CASCAR Super Series which was founded in 1981. History In September 2006 NASCAR purchased the CASCAR Super Series, the top Canadian stock-car racing series at the time.
