Bryan Palmer
George Thomas Bryan Palmer (1899–1990) was an Australian Rugby Union player who coached the Australia national rugby union team, Wallabies. He has been described as "one of the most colourful personalities in Australian rugby". Early life Palmer was born in Dubbo, New South Wales, the son of T D Palmer, who had played Rugby for the New South Wales Waratahs, Waratahs in 1899. He played his first Rugby in Dubbo before attending Newington College as a boarder (1915–1916). War service Palmer served with the Australian Light Horse in World War I and was invalided home after a bout of near fatal pneumonia. As part of his recovery he joined the Glebe, New South Wales, Glebe-Balmain, New South Wales, Balmain Rugby Club to build up his strength and over the ensuing seven seasons played 93 games on the wing. Des Connor
Desmond Michael Connor (born 9 August 1935 in Ashgrove, QLD) is an Australian former rugby union halfback who represented internationally both the Australian and New Zealand national rugby union teams. He is an inductee in the Australian Rugby Union Hall of Fame. Australian rugby career After taking up the game at the Marist Brothers Ashgrove, Connor honed his skills further with the Brothers club. He made his representative debut for Queensland in 1954 and made further appearances for the state over the next five years. David Brockhoff
John David "Brock" Brockhoff (8 July 1928 – 17 June 2011) was an Australian rugby union identity, a state and national representative who played eight Tests as flanker between 1949 and 1951. He was later coach of the national team from 1974 to 1976, and in 1979. He maintained an active involvement in rugby union in Australia for his entire life. Bob Dwyer AM (born 29 November 1940) is an Australian rugby union coach. Early life Educated at Sydney Boys High School, graduating in 1957, where he played 2nd XV for the school where he played alongside former Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks player George Taylforth and St. George Dragons halfback George Evans. Career Dwyer coached Sydney club Randwick to four Sydney championship wins before becoming Australia's national team coach. He coached Australia from 1982–83, and again from 1988-95. Rod Macqueen
Roderick Ian Macqueen, AM is an Australian former rugby union coach. He coached Australia at the Rugby World Cup, and the Waratahs, Brumbies and Rebels in the Super Rugby competition. Career One of Macqueen's first major coaching positions was at the Waratahs, where he was present from 1991 to 1992. In 1992 he was also a selector for the Australian team. He went on to coach the Australian XV in 1995 and again acted as a selector 1994–95. Following the inception of Super 12, Macqueen became the coach of the Brumbies. Edward Jones (born 30 January 1960) is an Australian rugby union coach and former player, who was most recently the head coach of the England national team from 2015 to 2022. He previously coached Australia between 2001 and 2005, taking the team to the 2003 Rugby World Cup final. John Connolly (rugby)
John "Knuckles" Connolly (born 26 June 1951, in Brisbane) is a rugby union coach and the former head coach of the Wallabies. Connolly has in the past worked with the Queensland Reds, Stade Français, Swansea RFC as well as Bath Rugby. As a rugby player, Connolly played hooker for the Brothers club in Brisbane. From 1980 through to 1982, Connolly acted as a player and a coach for a rugby team in Darwin.
