The Australia A cricket team is a cricket team representing Australia and is the second team of the Australian cricket team. Ashton Agar
Ashton Charles Agar (born 14 October 1993) is an Australian cricketer who has played all forms of the game at international level. Agar plays domestically for Western Australia and the Perth Scorchers. A left-handed spin bowling all rounder, he played two Test matches for the Australian national side during the 2013 Ashes series. Early life and domestic career Agar was born in Melbourne, to Sonia Hewawissa, a Sri Lankan mother and John Agar, an Australian father, and has two younger brothers, Will and Wes. County Ground, Northampton
The County Ground is a cricket venue on Wantage Road in the Abington area of Northampton, England. It is home to Northamptonshire County Cricket Club, and was used by Northampton Town F.C. from 1897 to 1994. Cricket Northamptonshire played their first match at the ground in 1886 before competing in the Minor Counties Championship competition between 1895 and 1904, winning the title three times. They were accepted into the County Championship and played their first first-class match at the ground on 5 June 1905. Northamptonshire drew with Leicestershire in a rain-hit match that only permitted 75 overs of play. The County Cricket Ground is known to be a venue which favours spinners, and in the last County Championship game of 2005, Northamptonshire's two spin bowlers Jason Brown and Monty Panesar took all 20 wickets for Northamptonshire. Tom Sole
Thomas Barclay Sole (born 12 June 1996) is a Scottish cricketer. He made his List A debut for Northamptonshire against the South Africans team on 21 May 2017, during South Africa's tour of England. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut for Scotland against Ireland in the 2017–18 United Arab Emirates Tri-Nation Series. In March 2018, during the 2018 Cricket World Cup Qualifier match against Hong Kong at the Bulawayo Athletic Club, Bulawayo, Sole took four wickets for fifteen runs. Scotland won the match by 4 wickets after Hong Kong were bowled out for 92 runs. Sole was named as the player of the match for his performance. Alex Wakely
Alex George Wakely (born 3 November 1988) is an English former cricketer who played for Northamptonshire and was also a former captain of the England under-19s. He is a right-hand batsman, bowls off-breaks and sometimes medium pace bowling. In May 2021, Wakely announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Personal life Born 3 November 1988 in Hammersmith, London, Wakely attended Bedford School. While at the school Wakely was coached by the former England batsman Derek Randall. After his A-levels, Wakely chose to focus on playing cricket professionally, and being a part time pianist. Northamptonshire County Cricket Club
Northamptonshire County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Northamptonshire. Its limited overs team is called the Northants Steelbacks – a reference to the Northamptonshire Regiment which was formed in 1881. The name was supposedly a tribute to the soldiers' apparent indifference to the harsh discipline imposed by their officers. Founded in 1878, Northamptonshire (Northants) held minor status at first but was a prominent member of the early Minor Counties Championship during the 1890s. In 1905, the club joined the County Championship and was elevated to first-class status, since when the team have played in every top-level domestic cricket competition in England. Christopher Peter Tremain (born 10 August 1991) is an Australian cricketer who plays for New South Wales in the Sheffield Shield and for the Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League. Domestic career Tremain made his state-level debut for New South Wales in the 2011–12 season. In July 2012, he was given a state contract with New South Wales for the first time. Jackson Bird
Jackson Munro Bird (born 11 December 1986) is an Australian international cricketer. He has played for Australia in the past and currently plays first-class cricket for Tasmania. Bird is a fast-medium bowler. He is originally from Sydney and was educated at Saint Ignatius' College, Riverview and St Pius X College, Chatswood. Bird left the Manly club to further his career with the Tasmanian Tigers in the 2011–2012 season. Early career In March 2012, Bird took a hat-trick against Western Australia at the Bellerive Oval.
